Marty's has been my go to for many MANY years! Whether it's for routine maintenance, body work, or something as silly as your seatbelt being stuck / locked in place -- This. Is. The. Place. I live on the UWS and have tried a couple of local places for NY state inspections and other work, but I always end up going back to Marty's, where the guys are clear, efficient, and downright good-natured. It's worth the trip downtown.

When my large family started our trek from Omaha to North Carolina in a three truck convoy we didn't expect to stop after a couple hours on the road, but after my Dad felt some vibrations he didn't recognize coming from his truck he knew we needed a new u-joint.It was Friday December 23rd Ave we called at least a half a dozen places to try to get it serviced before we continued on our Merry way for the rest of our 1,000 mile journey.Marty's finally accepted the challenge! He was incredibly nice and after about 2 hours we were on our way.The u-joint held up, and our Christmas travel plans were saved!

Easy state inspection. Went on a Saturday, waited 20 min for a car in front, inspection itself took 20 min. When I left maybe 1 or 2 other cars waiting. Guys were friendly enough. $40 bucks and he put a front plate on for me.

Scammers for the ages. I give a b for effort he put forth in the scam. Hes the reason auto body repair shops have a bad rap, and this place - Joey - the employee i dealt with this time. Over the years i used them sporadically from medium cost jobs to state inspections. He used my car inspection to pass someone elses car and then told me my brakes were bad and needed to get fixed to pass inspection. Hes a "pos" racist. He wanted $500 to fix the brakes that had 65% left. Total scumbag. I have a decent and car worked hard for it. Hes a racist. Successful "white" people beware of this a hole.

They tried to scam/cheat me by tricking me into buying four new brakes that I didn't need. I tell the staff that all I need is to get the ny state inspection, and the workers there look at my car for at most 30 seconds, and tell me I need to have all of my brakes changed for $600. They didn't know that I just got my car fully checked and serviced at the dealership three months ago so I knew they were lying. Instead I went to my dealership and got my car taken care of. They check my brakes and said they're perfect. Don't go to these guys they'll cheat you!

I've been going to Marty's for 20 years. The first 17 we're with one car. It was a 2001 Honda Accord EX Coupe. It was a great car, but credit also goes to Marty's, who kept it running like a champ to the bitter end.
