I've heard many great things in the past, but this school has gone very down hill. Mrs. Huntsman has no clue how to effectively do her job or talk with her staff or students. I'm very disappointed in how this school how turned out.

I signed up to join Hillyard in my Junior Year of Highschool after taking a trip to their campus. I felt that this would be the best way to prepare myself for the future by teaching me a useful skill and helping me later down the line in college and beyond. I have never had a more miserable time in my life. My instructor, Mr. Sharp, was one of the most rude and condescending teachers I have ever encountered, constantly singling out and belittling me or any other students who were having difficulty understanding the material or not working fast enough. That alone would be bad enough, but the classmates would routinely harass and insult me in full view of him and he would do nothing to stop it and nothing was done when I brought it to his attention. This continued for the entire two years I was there. That place was hell for me and the people there were all to happy to make it worse. I highly discourage ANYONE from attending this school if you expect any sort of positive environment or teacher accountability.

Can't give a good review, because no one will answer the phones for me to even talk to about classes or anything about the place.

We are extremely fortunate to have such a great adult education center here in St Joseph. And taking the basic electrical class and PLC class I was able to learn more in three classes here than I was in two semesters of college.
