Had no issues until about a year ago. Contacted about storm damage. Inspector ignored obvious damage. SF will not provide the service we paid for. Moving all policies.

Passable, but nothing to write home about.When I first moved into my house in Maryland Heights, my neighbor told me he was unimpressed by State Farm service. I wondered why, since I see so many ads and they seem very friendly. Several years later, I arrived at the same conclusion.Now, I have good neighbors. They are there for me. Service provided by this branch of State Farm, on the other hand, I would say it’s akin of an acquaintance whom you met on the street.From my experience, I found this service is great at one thing — taking your payment and giving you an initial good impression, but never deliver on follow up or anything else you’d expect.For example, once I enrolled into State Farm, my insurance rate steadily climbed every period with no explanation. I called to ask the reason, or if there is a way (such as enrolling into a safe driving program) to reduce it. The people I spoke to were clueless. The only answer they could provide was “it’s gone up for everyone.”This happened across several years, and is like boiling a frog — they just hope you deal with it and never switch. Another time, the lady said she could customize a plan for me, but then followed with she was going on vacation in FL and wanted me to call her back once she’s back upon returning from vacation. Think about this — someone whose job is to provide you with customized quotes can’t be bothered to follow up, but want you to instead. I asked her if she could follow up with me instead. She said yes — and never did.So I eventually got the feeling that the people who work here are to collect a pay check. They're pretty much just slightly above phoning it in, and that's it.Finally, I did speak with Bob, whose name is associated with the branch, during my years of using his branch. Bob seems like a nice guy. But I think he is far too busy to manage customer relationships with any degree of depth. He answered my questions regarding rates and coverage in a shallow manner, basically in a way that would appease me without taking any real action.So in the end, I found better service elsewhere. If you look at online retailers such as Geico / Progressive, try them out. They don't spend as much on advertising and their agents are much better trained and answer far quicker (no random lunch breaks during every week day). Unlike staff at this branch, they will always pick up, they are trained in the field you are looking for, and they will get you an answer, or take some action. And yes, the rates are far better too.

Bob Boston always take care of my insurance needs in a timely manner. Have been a customer for many years due to the professionalism that is always displayed. They handle both my home and auto insurance and never try to sell me on services I don't need. I highly recommend and have told many friends and family about their services.

I switched from my old state farm agent, of which I was insured by through my parents (he had issues with responding in time, if ever, and did not seem to push/try to get me the best rate possible for my first car bought and owned by ME, myself.).
Bob has really been A+ 99.9%% great; it is like night and day. I have been with him for just 6 months since moving out of my parent's house and getting married, and then a new used car in Feb.
As an example:
my old agent is STILL having issues with transferring me and his office was trying to possibly cancel my plan due to issues 100% unrelated to me, but to my younger brother. Well, Bob stepped in and stopped them from screwing everything up AND, most importantly (too me, at least), he called me and let me know what was going on and told me to disregard any mail I may get on the issue. He did not have to, but he did, and I apperciated it so very much!
The other great thing about Bob's office is his amazing staff assistant. She was the most kind, realistic, and helpful person EVER too me during the new car purchase and switching agents process! I highly, HIGHLY suggest Bob Boston!
