There is always so much merchandise to choose in the store. I go for rhe greeting cards. Most of my friends love animals like I do so the cards are perfect.
The store and especially the volunteers are wonderful.

Originally, I wanted to adopt a specific cat, a Russian blue male, approximately 3 years old.
Because he came as a bonded pair, I also adopted his non- biological sister, an orange tabby approximately the same age.
Before I picked them up, I mentioned that something was wrong with the ears on the orange female and to please have that resolved before I picked them up. When I called to find out the status of her ear issue, I was told there's nothing wrong with her ear.
Well, when I picked up the pair, it was obvious this poor cat had a severe ear infection.
Also, I quickly realized this pair was not bonded at all, and the male cat had severe mental health problems.
I had specifically requested a cat with no special needs.
Due to my disability limitations, I had no choice but to return him.
I kept the orange female because these two were not bonded in any way, and she was a sweetheart and very easy to take care of.
2 weeks ago, SAPA illegally took her from my house and now has her listed for adoption,,, without my written consent.
Brittany is the absolute worst person to be in charge of these, or any cats. She is completely clueless and/or has zero empathy for these lovely creatures.
I'm horrified that she is running the day-to-day aspects of this facility.
UPDATE: within 24 hours of posting this review, Brittany from SAPA sent me an email accusing me of slander.!!!
That reaction speaks volumes.!
RESPONSE TO Brittany's reply;
there's a thing we Americans call "freedom of speech".
We also have something called "innocent until proven guilty"
Oh Yes indeed, SAPA came and took the cat because I saw Brittany do it. After she left muddy boots prints all over my linens and hardwood flooring (while chasing the cat) she marched out my backdoor and used my side-yard to exit my property.
Regarding the microchip, ownership was transferred to me. So, no, the cat is not chipped to SAPA.
I see no denial of the fiasco that took place regarding the condition of these two cats... shameful that these two wonderful creatures are merely a pawn with no consideration for the well-being of these felines.
The Orange tabby has had chronic ear infections from the day I picked her up and God only knows what happened to the Russian Blue. I suspect the troubled cat is still hearing voices and self-mutilating, that's assuming he is still alive.
The ethical thing to do would be to allow the orange tabby to stay within a loving home that she has known for the past 12 months, while my charges are pending.
Instead SAPA has decided to confine this cat to a tiny cage along with threats of charging boarding fees.
Very shameful treatment for that sweet wonderful cat.
So, no, you are not "sorry" that I am upset. It upsets me immensely that you do not have the best interest at heart for these cats.
Seems to me you are more concerned about ways to charge money than you are about her quality of life.

Great prices on name brand cat and dog food, and other supplies as well. Some of the most beautiful and friendly cats and kittens I have ever seen in a shelter. Good job SAPA!
