Withheld service to my tenants for a month because the lease agreement looked like there was a letter missing in one of the signatures. It took 13 days to resolve the matter. Pretty sure the company name is supposed to be "Spite."

The worst customer service you could imagine and very unprofessional. Moving here I have not had a hiccup with anything, and utilities have been fairly smooth; but with Spire its different. No hot water for 3 days starts to get to you. 2 missed appointments, No call, no door tag, and today when I took off of work to accomodate their unrealistic appointment windows (since I cant count on them to call) the guy gets to my place only to say he was called off for a leak. Can't help me. We were right at the meter, but nothing mattered. Obviously Im frustrated but understand a leak would take priority, but when the guy drives off laughing it tells you how serious they're NOT about customer service or even treating people. Add it to the multiple calls to the company and it all tells you a lot about their culture. Wish there was a choice, but in St. Louis, you're forced to be treated this way

Today we had our gas turned off. No warning. With little children in our house, and four adults who work - and no phone call to warn us or at least inform us that the bill had not been paid. They then insisted that they had called and instead of knocking on the door when they got to the house they quietly walked around and turned the gas off. This infuriates me! We were on budget billing but they mistakenly knocked us out of budget and when the company did the name switch the newbies refused to Put us back on budget billing. They said we'd have to wait a year! For their mistake! I hope you sleep well at night you low life snakes. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.
