Commission Free Auto Repair is literally the best Auto Repair Shop experience i’ve had in my 15yrs of owning a vehicle, the service i’ve gotten so far would be considered minor but the communication, timing, and quality of work has been 10/10 I Highly Recommend!

Terrible place. They're either liars or stupid. I called for a quote on an oil pump replacement, even gave them the check engine code. Was given a range of $500-800. A few weeks later, I called on a Friday to schedule an appt for the following Monday. Once again, I told them it was for an oil pump, and again gave the CE code. Monday, I dropped the van off around 830am. At 320pm I was called and told they "don't do oil pumps". It took them almost 7 hours to tell me they didn't do the one thing I needed.
When I asked why they gave me a quote, and why they set an appt, knowing I needed a pump, I was told that they never quoted me. There was "no record of a quote" going back to November. When I arrived to get my van, suddenly they remembered the quote and said "he thought you wanted the oil housing assembly replaced". BULLSH-T. No one ever said housing or assembly. They screwed up and lied to cover their own stupidity.
I used Commission Free exclusively for all of my vehicles, but now they'll get none of my business, and I'll make sure everyone I've sent their way goes elsewhere from now on.
Lying on your response doesn't change fact. I'm 100% sure I told you 3 separate times it was an oil pump. And if you can't diagnose with a code only, why were you able to tell me you couldn't do my repair over the phone after I gave you only the code? Seems like another lie you are caught up in.

They have worked on my car a few times and did great work. This time I brought it in I had a really bad squeak that is so annoying so I took it in and he said it was fixed the first time and when I left the squeak was still there, so he told me to bring it back in and he said brake pads looked fine and he wasn’t sure what the problem was, so I left and still have to squeak and it’s just getting worse. I will still give them a chance with other problems, but the car is not going to squeak so loudly if there’s nothing wrong with it. I just wish they would have looked further into what it could be. They are cheap and honest and I’ve always liked that about them. Just wanted to post my experience this time around with them. Edit to say I took to a different mechanic and he had it fixed in 30 minutes. It was the dust shield next to the rotors that was causing the squeak.
