I just moved back down here. And moving back spent me. Are there places that can help out with rent for a one time deal. I just need to get caught back up so me and daughter can keep home. And it won't be for much maybe a couple hundred bucks I'd put my number on here bit don't random people just texting to trick me. But yeah any ideas would be great please and thank u

This place seems like a joke! I’ve called them for almost a year periodically and every time I haven’t been “chosen”. 10 mins after they open and they are already booked up! Seems weird to me!

The Salvation Army has been a godsend for me and my family. Everyone in their staff has treated us like a welcomed family member. The programs for seniors are excellent.

They are always willing to help where they can! I have been a part of Salvation Army for several years! They help with rental assistance when they can, have a yearly toy drive for Christmas and also help with Thanksgiving baskets!

The Salvation Army is an amazing organization. But because if the abusive behavior of accredited staff member, I have to give this family center 1 star.I’m a man of God, passionate, and loving, and in my time of need, I was given a chance to stay here, but for some unknown reason, I was asked to leave the program, and then my property was given away to the clients there. Talk about kicking a person while they were down. I just don’t understand why Camille treated me like I did something wrong. I got a job, fed the residents, and did bible studies. I also worked for Salvation Army and created the Camp Mihaska Tourism video, just to show I know the Salvation Army. I’ve worked for them for years… and, unfortunately I’ve seen staff act this way because of some unknown reasons.Because I worked for Mission Gate Ministry for 4 years, and never could a person help another if they don’t care for themselves. I don’t know what it is, but I feel clients are unsafe… yes, unsafe around Camille.Camille threatened to call the cops, acted hostile and threatening. I am a gentle, amazing kind man… this was abuse and it is against human and civil rights to treat people who need help like this.Something has to happen, and I’m gonna start a petition and file a complaint I think. I’m contacting JG Wentworth!

They are a wonderful help to anyone struggling with poverty. Food pantry is excellent. They have other programs they can tell you about as well. Homeless friends should check them out. God bless you all.

I worked at the Family Enrichment Center for just a few months, long enough to realize just how little you are allowed to help those in need. I loved my job there, but eventually got let down enough to just walk away. I was lectured on numerous occasions for being too nice or as Michelle put it, having too much compassion. I was in trouble for speaking to residents like they were humans and not some lower lifeforms that needed to be ignored. I started there hoping to be able to help others get back on there feet and encourage them to do so, only to continuously be told not to talk to them, unless it was to get something for Michelle, or to get on to someone and treat them like misbehaving children... During my short time there I met numerous families in need, some didn't really want the help the program could provide, but others worked hard to get their situation improved. I had several thank me for being one of the monitors who didn't make their time there more sullen then it had to be, those were the days I will cherish. I walked away knowing I was doing the right thing. You can't help people if you aren't allowed to. For those who need the program, make sure it's only for a short time, don't expect the monitors to be friendly, because if they are, they get in a lot of trouble. When you get decent jobs, get out quick, or you will be paying an extremely outrageous occupancy fee (I've seen some over $1000) don't expect meals on the weekend, because they don't provide them, and dont be fooled into thinking they want to help you, because they aren't allowed to.

I went into the Salvation army core office today and asked if they could help me with a emergency issue that was caused by a mental health issue and was told come back later and asked what time and was told next week. They seemed like they were inconvenienced i was even there. I guess i interrupted there afternoon and not to mention the place was empty and I don't understand why someone couldn't have helped me or told me why not
