Although I bought an $18000.00 truck from this company and turned down the very expensive warranty package since it is not a good value because of pro-rated and deductible clauses, when I turned on the air conditioner literally 90 minutes after I left the lot it did not work. Front or back. Dustin said to take it to their mechanic and they would take care of it. The mechanic fixed the front but Route 66 refused to make the rear air conditioner perform. I researched the history of the vehicle and it’s a little sketchy what Route 66 gets knows about their vehicles but will not divulge.Judging by the conversations of recent customers on the lot while I was there this is not unusual. it was my bad to go ahead and make the purchase. I should’ve known better. There’s a lot better used car dealerships in Springfield and I should’ve use them. Lesson learned.

Visited on 12/27/22 and purchased a vehicle from Oz. Claimed no issues at all with the vehicle, drove well, no lights on the dash. Within an hour of leaving the temperature gauge shot up and fan kicked on to cool. Communicated with Oz, we both thought maybe needs a thermostat, no big deal. A few hours later as we were almost home (we live 2 hours away), vehicle lost power while driving briefly, dinged 3 times, and then Maint required light came on. Called next morning 12/28 and was told Oz was out of the office but they would contact him and call us back. They did not. Later that night we drove the van and when we parked it even more lights came on... Check Engine, VSC, and TRAC off along with Maint Required still on. Called Route 66 Motor first thing this morning (12/29) and was told Oz was out of the office again and that he was far too busy to be concerned with our issue, there was nothing they would do to help resolve the issue. We asked if we could bring it 2 hours back to them to have their mechanic look at it. They said no. We asked if we could bring it back to look at another vehicle instead. They said no. We had hoped their good reputation could be trusted and they would stand behind the vehicles that they sell as sound on their lot, but they do not. Buyer beware. You may or may not get a sound vehicle from them and it's your responsibility if it's not.Vehicle is 2006 Toyota Sienna with 138k miles. No accidents. They had it listed for $10,900. KBB for the specific VIN valued the van at $6500 fair market for Springfield zip. Oz claimed KBB value was low but they would sell us the van for $9500 with no warranty. Prepared to handle any issues of an aging vehicle as they arose, we paid cash for the van. Warranty or no, the van clearly had issues at the time or purchase that were not disclosed and Route 66 is refusing to work with us in any regard to help us get a dependable vehicle. Attached is a family photo at the time of purchase they requested to take. Subsequent photo is of the current dashboard of the van.Their response: Hey Chad, really sorry to hear about your situation. As far as us not trying to help is absolutely ridiculous. You informed us of your issues after purchasing the van and we recommended taking it to a shop to see exactly what's going in since you lived out of town. The van had no issues when you came in and checked it out, we even get all our vehicle's inspected by a few shops around Springfield and we offer warranty's on all our vehicle's. We never pressure anyone to buy anything from us. We do our absolute best to put miles on all our cars before even getting them inspected and up for sale. Oz was out of town and thats why he wasn't available. We stand behind all our product weather we're selling a brand new truck or even a 16 year old van. Again really sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with us. -ManagementNow they never offered to help me in any way to fix any issue with this van they had just sold me. All they could say was "there is nothing we can do, the van was fine when it was here". Not much help to my family. Please DO NOT trust this company.

We purchased a car for my elderly mother and it was paid cash for. The day we drove it off the lot within two hours it started dying. When I called back to have it looked at they said they would look at it but then they called back and said they wouldn't fix it or take care of it. We have been fighting them for a month. They never offered an extended warranty. Do NOT trust this place.

Waited till after I was approved to tell me they had another buyer and sold it. We even offered a check of the full value to hold the vehicle till monday. Even after I informed them I was approved just needed paper work they still said no holding. Then they had me write a review to waive their $100 "dealer fee" before telling me all of the above. Honestly a disappointment.

Great selection of vehicles and reasonably priced. They will work with you and address concerns you have prior to and even post purchase. Will be back for future car needs!

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! They sell used cars that are not professionally looked at and will try to say "selling as is" to dump it. They are only looking to make a quick sale and hope to pawn the vehicle on someone else. If you're looking for a vehicle that will not last then this is your place!!
