I recently visited the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield, MO, and I have to say, it was a bit of a letdown compared to past years. The fair seemed noticeably smaller than I remember, with fewer attractions and less variety in vendors and entertainment. It just didn’t have the same lively atmosphere that I’ve experienced before.
One of the biggest drawbacks was how expensive everything was. From admission to food and rides, it felt like the prices were way too high for what was offered. It made it hard to enjoy the fair without constantly worrying about how much everything was costing.
There was also a significant police presence at the fair, which was fine, but what really stood out was that many of the people working the rides and stands struggled with speaking English. This made communication a bit challenging at times and added to the overall frustration.
Overall, the Ozark Empire Fair wasn’t quite what I was hoping for this year. It felt smaller, more expensive, and less enjoyable than I remember from past visits. I hope future fairs can improve on these points to bring back the fun and excitement that the Ozark Empire Fair is known for.
