I used to take my car to Kenny Owen several years ago, until I moved out of the area. Never had a bad experience until now. I recently moved back and had a check engine light come on. Autozone gave me the code for it, which was for the cat converter, so I stopped by to ask Kenny if he could check whether the cat converter was actually bad or if it was an O2 sensor or what exactly it was, before I took my car all the way back to St. Louis, incase it was something small. He said to bring it back the next morning. I came back the next morning and a difference mechanic told me that this code was not a big deal and not to really worry about it, but that he could drive it and see if anything felt weird. I never received a call from them to say it was done, so I called the next day to check (thought maybe they had my phone number down wrong or something). It was finished, they just didn’t let me know. They charged $50 for the computer scan, and told me the same thing autozone had told me (which was free). I would have rather just been turned away if it’s something they don’t do, instead of them waste my time and money.

They have worked on vehicles for myself and my family multiple times and it has always been a fantastic experience. I get the same feel from their interactions and quality of work as I did with my mechanic of 20+ years who closed their shop last year. Hopefully I can go the next 20 with Ken Owen.

I don't normally give a 5 star, but this was such a remarkable auto service,I've ever seen, last I had auto service was next door in which is out of business. They were so busy our car sat there for 5 days before they had time to get to it, a relative easy fix after they ran all diagnosis., we could of gotten our car back earlier if our towing service would of cooperated. I wanna say again thank you to Ken for a superb job. You made my wife very very happy. God Bless you all

Very slow response time. I called about getting spark plugs changed. Said call back to get a estimate at 11am when thier guy arrived. I called back and he said I would have to bring the car in. I told him that wasn't possible he ignored me a min. Then proceeded to say I can't give you a quote not looking at it. So I ended up fixing the car myself. I want to offer the benefit of the doubt but this was my experience!
