I ordered a cake for my wife's birthday. I called and gave a brief expectation. We picked up the cake on Friday and we were so happy with this cake, it far exceeded any expectation.

People that work there are very friendly. Great place to buy drinks and snacks. Also shopping at the store gives you points against getting cheaper gas. They just recently changed their fountain drinks. Took favorites out. Not happy about that.

Had old sushi that expired the day I got it. It was stale and disgusting. Didn’t notice the date until I got home. Nothing fresh about old sushi.

So yesterday I went through the self service checkout for a $5 purchase. I had to get help with the machine, but the purchase looked like it went through fine, and they could not provide a receipt. Today I woke up and they charged me $73.01 for one container of potato salad and won't refund me without the receipt they would not provide. This Hy-Vee is a scam. They nonchalantly steal from their customers. Watch your bank card charges from this place.

Great & clean store, always have a pleasant experience but today 6/24 around 10 am the lady by the sandwich stall was very rude to us as we pick up sandwiches!

Got a bucket of chicken.....it was horrible dried out overcooked i don't know if I can ever get it again
