Had been a great experience last few times I've used them. This last time, I had a mower fixed by a local farm chain, worked two times after fixed. Took it to general rental center, they told me what got broken last time it was fixed. They fixed and held it for me till I got back from vacation never complaing. It works like a new mower.

Had to rent equipment to dry my basement from a flood issue. Equipment worked great, employees were nice, BUT ON the day I had to return the equipment the weather was bad. They canceled school in Springfield and where I live and I live off a small country road that does not get cleared. It was physically unsafe for me to drive to springfield at 8am when it was supposed to be returned. I left when my roads were finally clear 4.5hrs later. The OWNER charged me $79 extra because they don't have a weather policy. Even though school was even canceled. I'm NOT happy, they could have taken 1 or 2 hours off the rentals. I'll never GO back there again to ANY of their locations. I've been renting from them for over 8 years. Lost a customer and everyone I know, I'll tell them NOT to go.

You don’t get much from these guys !!Better know and understand what you need for refinishing/ grinding/buffing/ and preparing concrete, cause they’ll rent you the incorrect machine, and cutters ?United Rentals Springfield MO. Is the place WITH knowledge staff that KNOWS about concrete !!!

Great company to work with! We rented several things for a community appreciation event at my work. They were awesome at talking with me and quoting several "what if we did this" examples, they showed up exactly on time to set up, and showed up exactly on time when we were done. All the employees I worked with were great!

My experience was not the best. I asked then to hold a 55 towable boom for me which they did. I picked it up approx 4 pm on a Saturday. I arrived on the job site and placed the machine for the work. I pushed the button to lower the outriggers and level the machine. The outriggers lowered, but not enough to unhitch my truck. I called the rental center at 5:40 and there was no answer. I left a message explaining I was having a problem and needed some help. There is a box where the operating manual should be but it was empty. I wasn't having any luck with the equipment so I decided to return it. I brought it back to the store at 6:30 PM and was able to unhitch the truck (maybe it was easier here due to the ground being level but I don't know that for sure) I put the key in the box where the operating manual should have been. I NEVER received a return call. The equipment was unused. I called when they opened Monday morning at 7:30 and told they where I had put the key and requested a refund. ( I had paid for two days upfront) I was told they would look into it and get back to me. I hadn't heard from them by 4 PM so I called and was told that Justin had gone home sick and to call back tomorrow. I called late morning the following day and was told there was a minimum of a days rental and they wouldn't refund that. I asked if they would in lieu of the refund give me a credit to use in the future and that was also refused. Bottom line....if you rent here expect ABSOLUTELY NO SUPPORT. You're on your own. I feel I was royally screwed out of 460.00 and will never do business with them in the future.

These guys are great!! Only my second time going there and man they have a customer for life!!! The first time the service was helpful and wonderful! And the second time the road were bad and I got my truck stuck on the ice in the back area. Would you believe they helped me get it out!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!

My husband called this morning to see if we could return a machine bc im sick, we used it for 2 hours and wanted to return it for a full day today and come back the next day and finish the hours we paid for , I understand the inconvenience but the lady who answered didn't seem to care that I was sick and throwing up . Don't rent from this company if you have a family , things come up and they should be more then happy to work with you , but they were not ! Now I'm home trying not to get my kids sick while taking care of them while he finishes the job today . Whatever happened to people having a little humility for others :(

I own a lawncare company and rented a seed slicer at 2:45 in the afternoon. After the machine wouldn’t work I went back to change it out at 3:45. I wasn’t able to return it by5:30 closing time so it was returned at opening the next morning and was charged an additional $44. I’ve done business with them for about five years and after this will not be going back.

They rent items people only use every once in a while. Don't go buy it, rent it instead.
