Horrible experience for my daughter there. Suspected a teeth issue on her Guinea pig which they apparently are unable to look at but definitely able to charge $300+ for a multiple hour wait to say can’t confirm any issues and go see another vet tomorrow. Here is a vitamin C shot. Very sad when I can get a farm call multiple times for 1000+ lb cows and they average half of that amount and actually get help! And after reading many of these reviews they appear to be highly unqualified to practice and unethical and abusive of charges. And should be reported to BBB and AG and Mo Dept of Ag as well as the MO veterinary board.

The first time I came here, I didn't like the vet at all. I'm sure their jobs are incredibly taxing but she was not sympathetic towards my dog at all. Just seemed annoyed that we were there and asking questions. My dog was paralyzed because of severe arthritis/slipped disks. The pain medication I was sent home with wasn't working, it was only getting worse. And with his age I knew it was time to let him go. Thankfully when I went back the next day to euthanize him, there was all new staff working. Everyone i came in contact with were kind, and explained everything and took good care of my boy. They made him as comfortable as they could and he went peacefully. I'm so grateful for that. Rest in peace, Bruno.

Can't rate this place low enough. Refused actual care for my dog, thinking they knew better. *Emergency* Vet Tech didn't want to do her job late at night when there are people concerned for their pets. Inaccurate care was going to be given regardless of what tests showed.

After rushing my cat in there at 12:30 at night with a broken back. The vet gave me the best scenario of what could happen instead of just putting her to sleep and right now I still have my baby girl. Yes it is a little expensive but I would pay anything to save my cat

Our cat was attacked by a loose pitbull over the weekend on a Saturday morning. The staff got her in immediately to be taken care of and even inquired about myself if I needed anything since I was shocked and had blood on me. They took such good care of helping my cat relax, be examined, and give us updates and information all along the way. We are so thankful for the attention to details and helping our family feel at ease that our kitty was getting the best care she could receive. We're very appreciative of this, and her to recovery is going well!

I cannot stress enough how amazing the staff was with our emergency, they were immediate and very caring. They sent her records promptly to our regular vet the next morning. We appreciate the updates and care that the staff gave us. It's always a hard situation, but they made it easy.

I'm happy that there is an awesome place on the weekend or overnight to take your pet if needed. They did an awesome job and we're so kind. My cat is much happier and so am I. Thank you so very much.....

The care and compassion that this Team has at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic is wonderful. I am so grateful we have them in our city to help take care of our four legged family members.

I hate that this is the only “emergency” place to go in the Springfield area. Every time I’ve brought my animal here they send them home with different meds than what our daily vet would prescribe, and our animals don’t get any relief until our normal vet.
My dog has chronic UTI’s (for years now) and has been on a prescription diet. Unfortunately this weekend her food was supposed to be delivered on Friday evening, and it wasn’t. Now it’s Sunday and my dog is out of her prescription food. Most vets will renew a prescription if the animal has been seen within the past year, but not the e-vet. So instead I get to sit here and watch my dog suffer because they won’t let me pick up urinary food without a whole new vet bill… which was $600 last time and the meds weren’t even correct for the pain per my daily vet.
Atrocious care. Their motto might say they care like your animals as their own, but this is unfortunately far from true. Just another business ALL about the money.

We just had to say goodbye to our dog, and I can't express enough gratitude for the care and compassion we received. The team made room for us quickly, treated us with patience and understanding, and handled everything with such care and gentleness. They gave us the time we needed to be with our beloved pet, both before and after her passing. Saying goodbye is never easy, but their kindness made a difficult moment much more bearable for our family.

Excellent staff and highly trained Doctors! They brought my fur baby back to life after his heart stopped. He had very little chance of survival, even after they got him back. They worked through the weekend to stabilize and bring his levels up(which were off the charts). We were blessed to pick our baby up Monday and take him home❤ 5 days later he is doing spectacular!! He got his bark back...and we are so thankful to everyone at Emergency Veterinary Clinic of SW Missouri! Your the best!

Supposed to close at 8am got here at 7am waited 20 minute while they checked people out and was turned away at 7:20 with an empty lobby because they close at 8 and they wouldn’t even look at my puppy. I get wanting to go home but this is 40 minute before closing you may as well not even be open.

I took my cat in last Monday, Aug 5, when she was having an emergency. She ended up having hepatic lipidosis. I was told my only options were to hospitalize, which would put thousands into their pockets, or euthanize. I couldn’t afford hospitalization and I refused to just end my cats life. If they could keep her alive, why couldn’t I? They didn’t give me any tips or ideas on how to care for her. They did provide and antibiotic and a liver supplement. They just told me she would die and offered ZERO additional support. Thank GOD I didn’t listen to them. I learned everything I could about HL and I syringe fed my cat every hour on the hour. Breaking down how many ML of food, water, and how much in calories she would need a day. As of today, Aug 14, my cat is no longer jaundice. Has gained 2.5 lbs, and is out moving on her own and back to herself. They only want your money. If you can’t afford thousands they’ll tell you to just kill your animal. Do your research and go somewhere else. I gave them a 2 because the non clinical staff was great. The vets are only money hungry.
