West Battlefield, Springfield MO location, employee named Thomas at about 4:40pm on February 23rd decided to disappear and leave only the self checkout open which I can't do because my arm is in a cast and I needed assistance. About 10 minutes later finally comes out from smoking his weed or whatever he was doing and totally ignores me and opens up a different register and starts helping other customers! The only answer I got was a stupid look and suggestion that I go to the back of the new line! It will be a long time before I step into that Dollar General again!

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have had the pleasure of shopping at this Dollar General for over a year and from Christian the manager to Adam the assistant manager Molly, Michael and Thomas ALL have been courteous, kind, professional and helpful in assisting me to locate products, ALWAYS friendly and welcoming me into the store with a cheerful smile. The shelves are always stocked, and I have especially noticed their patience when assisting Senior Citizens in processing their orders, does that mean on a rare occasion I may wait just a tad bit longer to get checked out while they are HELPING someone, sure, but NORMALLY they process my shopping order quickly, courteously and professionally, and when I am elderly and disabled I know I’ll get the same kind and patient customer service. Funny as I think of it they all make it seem like I’m entering a huge home pantry with helpers to find what I want.

I like the old store better, they have the new I also much closer together and lots of sides to ask make it very difficult to get around with a cart. They do offer a pretty good selection for the modest-sized of the store. They even have a fair selection of frozen and refrigerated food and beverage items, including beer. The employees are usually friendly and helpful.

I had ran into Dollar general for a couple things obviously that never works in my favor. The little girl that help me and answered so many questions for me her name was Emma and she was so freaking sweet she helped me, she answered questions I had about an item and smiled the whole time. These are the type of places that I like to go I don't like cranky I don't like rude and so far today every place I've been have been great adventures. High kudos Emma, and Dollar General you did a great job hiring her.

This store was just recently built a few years back.. and you can't even tell. The store is chaotic. There are always so many out of stocks. Once I asked for black tape, the lady laughed and said "we have been out forever."The lot is disgusting, trash and debris everywhere. There are a few great people who try hard. But two people who actually do their jobs is not enough. It's a shame. Going to this store and then over to the one on Republic rd. Is like night and day!!
