My wife has stage 4 cancer. She has a team of doctors and many appointments. We recently had to change to this insurance company because our previous company decided to not have any of her doctors in their network. We have had to contact Cox twice about separate issues. Both times the people we had to deal with were very efficient and quickly resolved the issue. One of her medications was not being paid for. The gentleman that took the call actually reviewed the claim while on the phone and while my wife was on hold he called her pharmacy to let them know it was approved and then let her know it would be ready for pick up in 20 minutes. We have never had that happen before. It usually takes 7-10 days for a preauthorization. Thankyou for your excellent customer service.

An absolutely abhorrent institution. What kind of imbeciles leave something as necessary as a member number off of an insurance card? By the power of any and all higher powers may they be damned.

The health insurance is hands down the worst part of working for Cox Health. Our coverage is garbage compared to other large employers in the area. The few times I've called, employees have been rude and condescending.

This is terrible insurance. They cost an arm and a leg and don’t cover anything. It’s so bad, I am going to opt for a better company out of pocket than use this one with the help of an employer payment. I felt actual distress about seeking medical care when I needed it because I knew it would be a nightmare to deal with them if I seek help. They aren’t worth it, so do not use this insurance!! I would also bet anyone who left a 5 star review is personally enriched by them somehow bc I have only heard bad things from everyone I know on it.

I have been a Coxhealth patient for almost 20 years. Every doctor I’ve had has been excellent. But today I have to single out my orthopedic doc, Dr. ******* *****. He’s everything you want in a doctor: prompt, courteous, caring, friendly, super intelligent and capable. He’s so thorough when explaining things. I had the Tenex procedure today. He is one of the only docs in the area to do it. It’s used to help with tendinitis in the hip. Thank you Dr. ***** for always taking good care of me. I trust you.

They don't cover routine costs associated with pregnancy. According to Cox hospital, an initial ultrasound to confirm viable pregnancy and obstetric blood panel are routine. Meaning this is a standard practice done on all pregnant women in their care Those two procedures, without CoxHealth Plans covering anything, would cost $624 according to my bill. Cox Health Plans covered a mere $211.17 of that. That was just the first visit, too. I am dreading to see what they won't cover when it comes time to actually have my baby.

Dreadful. Multiple experiences of policy before people. All they care about is their bottom line.

Coverage and cost of services are horrible and they do not want to cover prescriptions.

Start the call out very friendly By asking how her day was and tried to start small talk as these folks usually are not very friendly. To no Avail she started off with somewhat of a brush Direction. My advice not everyone you talk to has a negative attitude and some people would actually like to be polite with you and have a nice conversation.

The worst group of people I've ever dealt. You might as well have no insurance as to use them. The way in which they hide behind their wording and definitions can twist it to work in their favor every time .If your thinking about enrolling with them.DONT .........Biggest mistake of my life

They started our employee plan to start over on 5/1/21. I have had nothing but issues trying to get claims reprocessed, as I had met my Out of Pocket Max. We keep getting bills and they are not reprocessing the claims in a timely manner. Needless to say bills are going to collections until they can get the claims reprocessed

Horrible horrible HORRIBLE company. No matter what you call about they will try and push you off to First Health who then usually tells me I have to call Cox back and explain that before I can get assistance. Then they quote you numbers that change with every conversation. I like to support small businesses whenever possible, but this is one that should be avoided at all costs.
