1337 E Montclair St, Springfield“I love this place. The new and used sections are overflowing with excellent material. I am especially grateful for a solid selection of Reformed, Presbyterian and Puritan resources.I always end up walking out with something whether I intend to or not. A great gem for the Springfield area and always enjoyable to shop local at a brick and mortar bookseller.”
“This is a must stop shop if you love books, but even more so if you love Bible study books. They have a large selection of material on almost any Bible topic. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. The prices are about normal for used books. Their hours are accommodating for most schedules. In addition to the excellent selection of study materials, they have a wide array of children's books and general reading.”
“Lots of books for all your needs. Definitely give them a try for all your homeschooling needs, too. They have more than books. They have games, supplies, and much more.”
“Very cute, “instagrammable” bookshop. It’s much smaller on the inside than you would expect, with a large amount of their inventory being YA/children’s. If you’re going in to find a specific book, I’d say your chances of them carrying it are likely slim. But they definitely had some cool reads and a nice used section.”
“I hadn't been to Barnes & Noble in a few years. I had this old memory of the store's layout, the types of books they had, and what their coffee shop was like. But when I visited recently, a couple of weeks ago, I noticed they had redesigned the layout. The coffee shop is now much nicer and more inviting.
I love that the staff suggests what they're reading. The people working there seemed really happy and always willing to help with cheerful smiles. This made the place a lot more interesting to visit.
They also offer more than just books now. They have games, bookmarks, puzzles, activity books for adults, and mindfulness journals, which I thought was really neat. So I'll be hanging out there more often. Their Wi-Fi works well too.”

325 E Walnut St, Springfield“It's places like this that give Springfield (and especially the downtown area) a certain charm. Each visit I've had has been enriching and pleasant. I especially love the cat! It's so cute and really adds to the overall experience.”
“Staff incredibly helpful and attentive. Great selection for gifts and personal devotionals. They have a large collection of books, gifts for sacraments, and even suits and dresses for kids. Thank you!”
“This little book store has the best selection of any book you could want whether it's adding to an author you already have or discovering a new author. The staff there are great, they can answer your questions without any delay.”

717 South Florence Avenue, Springfield“The bookstore at MSU is quite a fun place to visit if you are a student or alumni. Full of gifts, clothes and things you need for school, there are tons of items for just about everyone there. It's well lit, clean and the staff was very friendly during my visit. They are missing some items that would be nice to have, especially for the previous students who attended SMSU. Just some hoodies, or other merchandise to cater to a previous crown would be nice options to select from.”
“Great selection of school supplies, apparel, and other need things such as emergency toiletries. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. There is also nice parking areas to quickly and easily get into the store and get out of the store.”
8AM - 4:30PM
903 Bob Barker Blvd, Springfield“90% of items are more expensive than other places, but the staff is super friendly and they have more stuff than you would think a school bookstore would have. (Like Nintendo Switch controllers and skateboards !) You can use your student account/scholarships to buy stuff here. All you need is a photo ID and your student number.”
“This is definitely the place if you desire to be awakened. The fine book collection is from any and all walks of life. I've been shopping at Renaissance Books and Gifts store since I was thirteen years old and have quite the collection myself. All thanks to the ladies and gentlemen who work there. - Phoenix C”
