Fantastic service! One shop wanted to do a remanufactured transmission after PC diagnostics. American did deeper diagnostics by lifting the vehicle by opening the transmission and doing a full investigation free of charge. Will absolutely use them again!

I am a business owner that has several vehicles that need service from time to time. Anytime that I have a transmission issue, I always send them over to American Transmissions to get it checked out. They have rebuilt several for me and serviced or diagnosed others. I have been well taken care of everytime. If you have transmission issues with your current vehicle, are buying a car and want it checked out, or need anything else transmission-related, I would not hesitate to do business here.

Excellent shop! If you need to have your transmission serviced, it's best to take it to the experts. Great service at American Transmissions & they saved me money! Austin also recommended a shop that could help with codes on the 'check engine' light that had been a problem since car was new - & they fixed it! One of best decisions I made was to have this shop check my transmission & then do a drain n' fill. Had a standard transmission serv done at our usual car repair place & they overfilled the fluid & no other shops knew what to do or said it wasn't a problem - which was wrong. Appreciate Austin explaining things so well & helping me understand what did & didn't need to be done. Highly recommend!

Had my 2011 Suburban transmission rebuilt here 2 years ago & its still going strong. Easy to work with. I will recommend them to anyone needing transmission work.

I called Dustin (the Manager) on a Tuesday and he said I could bring it by that afternoon for a free diagnosis. Took my truck in, had an expert mechanic figure out my issue, and had parts ordered for the fix all in that afternoon. I was even happier when it was very reasonably priced and done the next day!It was my drive shaft giving me issues this time but God-forbid my transmission goes out, I know who I am calling.Service: Transmission

Came to American Transmissions after Ace wasn't able to help me.Arrived right when they opened, a technician came out and did a quick drive/diagnostic with his computer. Located the issue immediately, and told me the part that was causing the issue (throttle positioning sensor) and asked if I wanted to fix it myself. (Which I did).Offered them a diagnostic fee since they did all the heavy lifting but they refused.Can't recommend this place enough!

The mechanic took our truck in almost immediately after we handed him our keys. He then tested the truck and gave us the results in a very timely fashion. We were very relieved when he told us that our truck was running very well. He was very polite, knowledgable, and professional. shoutout to the man who made our day so much brighter!

I Was On A Road Trip From Dallas To STL My Transmission Went Down Due To A Leak In The Transmission Line Ran Hot For 100 Miles Or So. THESE GUYS ARE THE TRUTH!!! They Had My Truck Ready In Couple Of Days. I Waited To Write This Review To See About The Longevity Welp It Been Almost Two Years No Problem!! If You Want Straight Forward No Run Around Good Service This Is The Place To Go Hands Down. I Tipped The Team With Monster Energy Drinks. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

These guys were so nice and caring! I came in with transmission problems and a bad wheel hub. They were able to get the work done in less than two hours and did an amazing job! I was a first time customer earlier today. I was greatly pleased with their speedy service. They were able to quickly diagnose the issue based on my goodi third grade description of what I was hearing. Fairly priced as well.
