Very DisappointedOur first child attended daycare here in 2013. I was completely in love with the facility, teachers & management. I knew without a doubt that when we were blessed with a second child I would send them to this daycare, no questions asked.Fast forward 5 years & I found myself in need of daycare again. I had nothing but issues from the beginning. It took me at least 3 weeks of calling to find out if there was even an opening for my child, leaving message after message & never receiving a call back from the owner or director.Once I finally was able to get my child enrolled, they placed her in the wrong class. She was in the class below the one she was supposed to be in. I requested multiple times for her to be moved in with the correct age group before she was moved. The facility itself has taken such a turn in the 5 years we had no kids in daycare. The rooms & even the outside area was not visually appealing. My daughters teachers were way below par, not very friendly and would only answer me in ‘yes’ or ‘no’ responses. One teacher bombarded me at pickup yelling, telling me all the awful things my child did that day. While I know kids are a handful and are exhausting, bombarding me as soon as I walk into the door is not how issues should be handled. The owner seemed to be the one who was in charge, because every question I ever had, had to be directed toward her. Although she was in charge, she was very rarely there at drop off or pickup. She seemed very disconnected from what I remembered in my precious experience at this facility. My daughter attended this daycare for 9 months. In that 9 months, every single day was a fight. She would cry, fight & refuse to go to her teachers. Now, I know there needs to be an adjustment period - but 9 months is more than enough time. Especially because there were kids in her class she has grown up with & was familiar with.I brought all my concerns to the owners attention, and she immediately started defending everything the teachers and employees were doing - and did not take my concerns seriously. I was extremely and visibly upset - and I didn’t feel like my voice was being heard.I am paying YOU to care for my CHILD! You should take all parents concerns seriously.I finally pulled my daughter after 9 months, and moved to a different facility. My daughter is a different child there. Happily goes into class, loves going to school - and the teachers & employees are so much more involved and concerned with the kids. I only wish we had made the move sooner.Fast forward to Feb 2018. I am awaiting tax paperwork for the $3k I paid into this facility, so I can file my taxes in a timely manner. I called, after not receiving it - and was told they do not mail out tax info if the child no longer attends classes there. I don’t quite understand that. I was told I would have to come pick it up. I was unaware of this & never received any info about having to come & get the paperwork. Are they not mailing in hopes of families not claiming them in their taxes? I guess we’ll never know.I just wanted to share my experience, in hopes of other families not making the same bad choice I did by sending their kids here.
