Main Street Books is a neat, cute independent bookstore and a unique addition to the historical collection of Main Street. It is bigger than it first appears, with a super cozy second floor, though the main layout can feel a bit cramped when busy. The store offers a great and wide selection of books for all ages, including popular fiction, local interest, and children's books, as well as merch and cute little gifts. The staff is super-friendly, helpful, and super nice, often giving personalized recommendations. The bookstore hosts lots of events, including multiple author events a month with a wide selection of guests, and brings authors to local schools. Some reviewers hope for even more fun events, like a nightly book club. It is considered a cute little gem to visit, with a great vibe that even kids look forward to.
Home run of a book store. My wife found 2 new books that she was searching for. The woman working here was really helpful and friendly. She was also quite busy, but doing a great job of helping everyone who came in. By far the best book store we've been to in the st Louis area on our trip thus far.
