Update* I meant to change this right away but I forgot. The people at the counter were completely unprofessional. they were jerks. they were ignorant. they were short-tempered. they had an attitude. after purchasing the car and randomly finding out for some reason my insurance stopped covering it, even though it still did, I only found out because they tried charging hundreds of dollars to my card when I called them about it they're like it's not our job to tell you... I'm like it's not your job to communicate with the insurance company for the money instead you just go after my bank account? And once again the same location was incredibly rude and incredibly ignorant. I don't know what's wrong with the staff but they need a new one.

Horrible to deal with won't answer phone. Drove an hour to pick up car to find out they won't rent to a debit Visa debit card Haas to be credit card

I don't think they have ever answered their phone, always just auto hangs up after minutes of nothing. One of the most unprofessional places I've ever been for a rental car, legitimately. Slow staff even in the early morning when there's no one else and zero excuse. I'm sure Hertz as a corporation is fine but this place has no business staying in business.

No means no. My family and I will never recommend this place to anyone. We have requested a receipt for a payment of $1000.00 or more and we have visited them to ask for the receipt, we contacted the Hertz customer service and requested a receipt, and no one has replied or provided us with the receipt. The rental occurred about 7 months ago, and since then we have emailed, called, and asked in person for the receipt. Still no response nor the receipt. Please like my review to support us regarding our feelings been hurt by the Hertz business/corporation. Thank you.

These Hertz People will overcharge you. You may end up paying more taxes and fees than the actual cost of the actual rental.vehicle. My rental cost was about $175 and Brad insisted that I should pay $100.00 In taxes and fees. What Fees? Pretty High Taxes for that amount! I returned the car full of gas and in the same condition as when I got it. This is just another way we consumers are getting ripped off by Big Greedy Companies .If you call billing, you may get someone who can’t even speak or understand much English and has a Bad Temper. ”That’s Hertz”.Go to Enterprise, they are a little more Honest and professional. Contest it with your Bank if they Overcharge you, or report them to the Missouri Attorney General.

They weren't even gonna inform me of the 500 dollar hold of I hadn't called beforehand. Had to cancel and put my rare vacation in jeopardy.Only the rich can rent cars now apparently. Better have those accounts stocked to the teeth so Hertz can gank.

Car reeked of marijuana, there were empty bottles, and some kids toys in the back. Honestly, the trash and the toys left in the car weren't a big deal. I believe the employee checking us out was the manager, his flippant response to me pointing out the awful smell was concerning. It was100+ degrees outside and we had to drive around with the windows down. His response, "I smell it, but it isn't that bad." Good to know our non-smoking car was not "that bad".Updated 2022 Hertz tagline: "Hertz puts you in the driver's seat; it's not that bad."

For the love of God, whatever you do. Do not go to this or any other Hertz. They have made a process which should have been smooth and painless, the worst experience I think I've ever had with a business. They keep charging my account now 4 weeks after I've returned the car and when I call to ask why they ghost me and when I do get a hold of someone they say they have no idea why it's doing this and they'll look into it and give me a call back. Only I never get a call back and then have to talk to insurance to get any sort of response. The auto dealership I went through says that Hertz has been doing this to all there customers they work with. That Hertz is actually under multiple lawsuits do to this. Do yourself a favor and save the headache, go somewhere else!

Rental not clean at all when picked up. Crusty buildup and something sticky in the front and dirt all over the back of the van. Advisor was helpful and told us we could switch at another location. They said they have a lower standard for cleaning some rentals bc of their commercial use (I don't like that). At the second Hertz location in Columbia my insurance coverage was upgraded for an extra charge without my consent.I do not recommend.
