Where else could you stay in a strawbale bed & breakfast? I'm not sure, but you'll want to do it here at the Milkweed Mercantile at Dancing Rabbit! Incredibly comfortable rooms (the bed was great, the sheets were to die for - it was like sleeping on a cloud made of silk!). The food, the mercantile, the drinks, the pizza! Such an incredible place, cant recommend highly enough. P.S. the composting toilets were cool.

Alline and Kurt, the owners of the inn are particularly warm and gracious hosts. We had the room upstairs with the wonderfully comfortable king-sized bed. The room was suprisingly large and comfortable. The shared bathroom and shower room were immaculately clean. The food at the inn was delicious.

Five stars for service, atmosphere in a unique Eco village setting and hands down the best pizza I've ever had. Save room for dessert...not to be missed!

Milkweed Mercantile is awesome! I was there every day during my visitor stay at Dancing Rabbit. Great coffee in the mornings, happy hour in the afternoon, occasional activities in the evening, delicious meals for guests, comfy rooms in a unique strawbale building. Both the staff and the locals who hang out there are friendly people with a wealth of knowledge about sustainable living. Highly recommend.

Their was a misunderstanding with our food choices and instead of the cook talking with us about it, she stormed off leaving my husband and I sitting with three other guests. The cook did not comeback instead someone else did and he put half of a pecan pie on the table and told us that was our dessert and that we were insulting to the cook. We were not insulting we did ask why our dietary preferences were asked and then not followed. The food was terrible, the kitchen was dirty, and our rooms smelled like mildew. Never again.

Curiosity and disenchantment in modern society led me to the Milkweed Mercantile Eco Inn. The Inn is welcoming and comfortable. The staff was easy going and attentive and super friendly. The tour of the eco village far surpassed my imagination.

We stayed in the Milkweed Mercantile during their open house & ecovillage tour weekend. The inn was inspiring, beautiful, ecologically ethical, and spotless! Our stay included three absolutely delicious meals from the Mercantile kitchen, as well as plenty of good conversation with the residents of the ecovillage. We loved having the chance to tour Dancing Rabbit village and stay in the amazing eco-inn! Highly recommended.

Arrived unexpected and the staff were so nice to accommodate me for a night. As others have stated their craft beer selection is better then most bars but don't worry they have PBR :) (bar is only open 4-6, which is long enough). Also they use metal straws, which are super kewl! The beds are SO comfortable and excellent pillows. There is nothing like sleeping and not hearing a police car or ambulance or loud individuals... very peaceful. Also minus the light pollution. The pizza is top notch and if were in a city or supermarket would be best sellers. The breakfast is simply amazing; had blue (real) berry pancakes with sausage and farm free range chicken eggs! The towels and washcloths are hung outside to air dry and very absorbent and they use Kirk's Castile soap, the Almond is so refreshing and smells wonderful.

Very relaxed B&B with great hosts! Better craft beer selection that most bars! Breakfast that is amazing! Rooms have plenty of space and the beds are tops.
