I can take this down if they make it right. They need to make this right. Do not trust this shop. They don't care about your vehicle. My vehicle is a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004 4.0L. My jeep was transferred to this shop because they didn't have enough time to do it. I brought it in for cylinder misfires on #2 and #5. Then, decided to draw it out for six months and they said it's a crank but no start and I was confused. Then, called back and said it is 5 volt wire and said that I had extra wires for a remote start. I agreed and said they could unplug it. (*Spoiler*) They decided to cut a $300 remote start system. Then, had drawn it out for 2 more months and they called and said, they can't figure it out. I had came it loaded it up on a trailer and then a few minutes after on the highway we were hit by drunk driver and broke my femur. That's another story, but 2 months later when I get to work on it this weekend. I started with a test light for spark at coil wire to spark plugs. No spark and quick Google search of the Powertrain Control Module forums came up for each pin. Which were all correct. Then, scrolled on that forum for sensor voltages while cranking. So, I check some voltages and the camshaft position sensor Auto shut down Relay wire was at 12 volts for 3 seconds then go away. So the forum said the computer cuts ground if no signal. Then, we opened up the cap and found the reluctor wasn't spinning while cranking. So I take the serpentine belt off and turned it over by hand still nothing from the reluctor. I had taken the harmonic balancer and took off timing change cover. Then put the bolt back on and turned it over by hand and the camshaft gear was spinning but not the center, which is the camshaft. Replaced the Camshaft gear and put it all back together. It started right up. Then, Monday evening I worked on trying to diagnose the misfires swapped spark plugs around to see if I can get the misfires to transfer. No change so I tried the same with injectors and still no change. Then, unplugged cylinder #2 injector while running to see if any change and there wasn't any tried cylinder #1 injector and it started misfiring on that cylinder. So, it was fuel related which isn't the injectors and so I tried the injector plugs next by swapping cylinder #1 for a second or two with a cylinder #2 and no change for cylinder #2. I tried the same with cylinder #3 and #4 so the next is fuel rail. So, I believe the fuel is corroded or cloaked up for those two cylinders. They should have done actual diagnosis like this and not throw parts at it and just run it by the the customer before replacing or cutting wires. They should also get an oscilloscope tablet for reading electrical and learn how to use it. I have looked into it and it is easier to figure out cylinder misfires by seeing data. In my case, I didn't need anything fancy and it felt like they wanted to waste my because it had remanufactured motor in it and try to buy it later by sabotaging. It is that or they just think it is easier to throw parts at it. It looks like they put in a new ignition switch and immobilizer and they also told me they also exchanged the computer in from AutoZone I had already bought a computer because the other shop thought it was computer but he doesn't work on anything electrical. So, I had changed the computer but we can see that was also not it and was the camshaft gear and fuel related the whole time. I feel like trying to repair these wires would cost more of my time as labor and the parts alone for crimping it or soldering it. It would be easier to buy a new harness. I'm just glad it wasn't a factory harness that I can't find. I did have help from a friend and we learned a lot about this motor. Here's some pictures.

If a vehicle is taken in for a diagnostic, there should be open communication before any service is performed. Sounds like a money hungry business who is starving and needs paid whenever and however possible.

My wife and I took our vehicle here for a diagnostic. We wanted them to just look at it. We are both very handy, so if the problem was simple we knew we could fix it ourselves. Instead they repaired everything without ever providing an estimate or getting approval. They charged us $300 for changing sparkplugs, which we could have done ourselves. When we disputed this with them they claimed to "be helping us by doing it quickly" because they were booked out. They then claimed that when we brought the car in we had given them permission to fix it without seeing an estimate.

Terrible business. We just wanted them to run a diagnostic so that we could buy the part and we could fix it. Instead, they fixed everything without calling or providing an estimate and then threatened to lean our car when we told them we couldn't pay for the work we didn't authorize. There is plenty of other business to use! Dont use these scammers!

If an owner did not tell you to fix the car you should not fix the car! If all they want is diagnostics ran than that’s what you do! Would not recommend this business at all.
