104 E N Main St, Richmond“Today I went for the Harvesters food distribution. I didn't pick up for myself as I'm still working on the last groceries! I picked up for two other families and still had a lot to share w a third family.Harvesters is so generous and the foods are high quality and often interesting. The people I share them with are so delighted, and that makes me feel gratified. As for the Salvation Army store, I go on Monday when I go because it's senior citizen day with a discount. They have a nice display of glassware and vcr tapes that I rifle through. I have bought framed pictures, table cloths, bed linens, knick knacks, etc. It's a nice store commensurate with our small town. When I'm seriously looking, I go to Liberty or Overland Park.I have not investigated their other social services offered in an office via a side door.”
“Bark Bargains is the unique boutique on the square. The items for sale here will amaze you, and new inventory seems to arrive daily. The store is open until 7 pm, and the forces behind this local business are doing some good in this world every single day with all proceeds going to local animal rescues. You will find the pricing unbelieveable low and the quality high. They offer new and also gently used merchandise, and I find it faith affirming knowing local dollars are benefiting local animals and offering the community a budget friendly shopping alternative. Look for the dollar room! Everything is a dollar or less, and many items are marked free. Shop for men, women, children & your pets too. Save money and fill your Christmas list. You just have to experience it to believe the good vibe in this place.”
