After a failed attempt at a shop out of town I took my vehicle to Yokums as soon as I got home. My family and I have used them for years and I always recommend them. Expert workmanship and courteous and helpful up front.

What should have been a $315.06 AC recharge, turned into 4 trips over a 2 week period with multiple “issues” identified (1 issue per visit) & total expense of $3165.07 (tax not included); $2256.95 was for labor. I feel if a more thorough assessment had been performed, especially after the return when AC was not working, the labor costs would have been much less. I was not informed of any potential issues before the initial service (AC recharge) & after the diagnosis, the vehicle would no longer hold Freon; if I had, I would have delayed service until I could afford it. After initial leak was identified, I had no option but to proceed with all additional repairs (not needed initially) or I would have been without AC in >90 degree weather.
Also, customer service was not up to their usual level of excellence; I felt I was annoying them with my repeated requests for resolution of the issue & questions about failure to diagnose all potential problems with the system the first time.
They did provide a loaner vehicle, which was appreciated! However, there was no apology for the inconvenience of having to make multiple trips to the shop for additional diagnostics/repairs.

Had van towed to shop was told security deterrent module needed replaced and they dont put used parts on vehicles, said it was starting and to come pick it up, ended up having it towed again because battery was dead and security still preventing it from starting tried to ask questions and just felt like no one really knew what was going on didn't feel the guys we talked to were very knowledgeable was also told if the van wasn't picked up we would be charged $50 a day storage fee. They wouldn't give suggestions where or who could fix it, had to tow it back home, even told them the other problem van was having and one guy said they were only looking at why it was brought in. Thank you for leaving a disabled person without transportation even longer. 2000 chevy van Express

Firt off, they charge $115 to diagnose each problem (2 issues costs you almost $250), and that doesn't include repairs. Then, instead of fixing the problem (which they can not find), they just replace everything in the area that seems affected. Find a mechanic that actually understands how a vehicle works instead of reading a computer to tell them what may be the issue.
