I bought two red clay pie plates ten years ago, and they have baked MANY wonderful pies! I do hand wash mine, for safety's sake. No chips. They still look like brand new! If you're serious about baking pies, don't mess around with cheap Pyrex. Get these quality, extra-deep dishes. They're a wonderful investment!
