Well I’ve been with Peoples for well over a decade, didn’t have any problems when Justin was there at lake Wappapello where I had my mtg. When I bought my new home, financed with them again. Been making payments on time since I’ve been with them and have good credit score(like around 740) yet they go up on my interest rate 2% points all at once, raising my payment $200.00, that’s ridiculous. They don’t care, when you talk to them about it they’re rude and talk down to you like you’re stupid, I’m looking somewhere else. I wouldn’t even recommend them to someone I don’t like much less someone I do like. Don’t waste your time.

Completely garbage bank. I went in store on 3 different occasions and got told something different every singe time. Got told once that if I brought a $9k check in that I’d be able to deposit and cash it next day. So I went in the next day and was told that I could deposit it and then pull it out in 9 business days. Went back after 9 business days and then was told there is a 30 days hold on the check. Completely disorganized and untrustworthy. Will never use a peoples community bank anywhere I may live.

I have been a customer here for quite a while now and at first, I couldn't have been happier with my experience there. The last couple of months though things have been completely different. Before the new management change, I knew my account was fine. I didn't have to worry about it closing for something silly. If money was tight, I could access overdraft protection which was especially helpful last December when I was laid off and living off bonus checks instead of wages. I spoke with the bank at that time and explained my situation. She said I had nothing to worry about, just keep my account positive for a month and there wouldn't be any issues, except obviously the agreed-upon overdraft fees. I kept my account positive for a few months. Fast forward to May.. I waited well over a month for the manager to take my call or reply to me. She obviously has no intention of contacting me. Now she says that my account will remain in poor standing until my balance is positive for a year. That's not what the agreement was, but I have enough money now. So I decided to wait it out and keep it open. Then, my dog just died and I needed to withdraw the money from my account for vet and cremation expenses. The teller told me I couldn't have all the money in my account because the moment my balance drops low enough my account will close. Makes no sense at all why my account will close for pulling out my own money to take care of my own family when my paychecks are directly deposited there weekly. What an awful experience!

I just want to say I was having a really rough week. I’m a full time student that pays monthly to attend school. I have a full time job and so many bills weighing me down. I was really struggling this week and i was just about to give up. The worker Alyssa at this bank was so sweet and helped me out tremendously. She definitely did not have to help me but she did and I am so thankful for that. If it’s possible for her to get a raise, I think she deserves it.
