I loved staying here. It was a last minute work site and found this lodge. I was not disappointed! It’s a little out of the way of the city, and that’s what makes it great. It’s quiet and it’s own little corner.Check in was awesome. The lady at the front desk was so darn professional and nice. Gave me details on the area and recommended the pub.Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. It was nice coming back to this room for a few days after work. Room was always cool. I’d recommend this place to anyone passing through or staying in town for a few days.Rooms: Clean and neat.

So....what can we say except that this was the ideal place for relaxing and having fun... Our host was great, and we had tons of fun every night. Town is only 15 min drive, so stock up on essentials. If you want to sit and chill, the bar is right down the hill about 50-100 steps, so you don't have to worry about driving after a few adult beverages. Everyone is friendly, and they are fun to hang out with and enjoy talking. There is the river which is clean clear and you are able to swim just make sure you have some "shoes" not crocks or flip flops but some you can get wet and not mind sand because it's rocky. There are cliffs to jump off, and kids can even get an up close look at the fish (little perch)? because they swim right up to you, maybe even a little nibble lol. The water is at constant flow which means it's not to cold or hot but just the perfect temp. We will be coming back down but the next one we'll bring the grandkids...Rooms: Very spacious extremely comfortable and very quiet.Nearby activities: Town ,the river, water park nearby.Walkability: The bar adult games beverages and snack food...Food & drinks: Lots to drink not a big choice on food so bring both or stock up in town about 10-15 drive only.

Absolutely loved it, the minute you go into the office, you are greeted with a friendly smile and a welcoming atmosphere, from there you head into a delightful room that just makes you feel at home, the decor is absolutely adorable, the shower is the right height and temp, the fridge is the just the right size for your leftovers and drinks, and Maxwell House coffee packs for your morning wake up after a great nights sleep on one of the best mattresses Ive slept on in a away from home place, the lounge that is on the property is really quite the place, so many fun items to look around and find, free popcorn, and hopefully once they are back up and running more yummy food, the service at both places is above and beyond expectations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Google listed it at $89 / night. Bullwinkle’s website listed it at $139 / night but in actuality it was $189 a night. The desk clerk said there was ‘nothing he could do about the price.’ As an $89-100 per night it’s what you would expect, but definitely not worth $200 as a final bill. King size bed only had 3 thin pillows, couldn’t lay in bed and watch TV because of the footboard. Did love the recliner in the room. No soundproofing with outside drinkers from the RV hookups. Breakfast was Lil’ Debbie and snack bars, no milk for cereal. I did enjoy that you could sit on the moose outside or at the lake’s gazebo. We opened the door to Bullwinkle’s restaurant and were drowning in decades of cigarette smoke. We immediately shut the door and fled.Do not recommend unless as a last resort or you have money to waste.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bullwinkle's. They have a lounge and the vibe in there is really chill. A stranger bought our drinks. We liked it enough to stay a second night even tho that wasn't part of our original plan. There were some minor technical difficulties. Our TV didn't work and the maintenance man tried to get it running but couldn't. We fell asleep with the TV on and the service came back in the middle of the night. The volume was loud so it scared us awake. The shower curtain didn't keep the water in well so there was a puddle after each shower. Also the Ac unit was loud, set at 72, and couldn't be adjusted.Rated 4 stars in light of these minor issues. Staff was very friendly and I'd recommend Bullwinkle's to anyone in the area!
