Like many other people's reviews, my experience was terrible with this service department. Nonexistent communication and requires you to reach out and follow up to try and get any information. They held on to my car for 2 days for something i believe easily could have been complete in less than a day and would have kept it longer if I didn't tell them I wanted it back. Overall, the service manager is not at all customer satisfaction minded and a bit rude. Don't waste your time. Go somewhere else.

Jeffrey was top notch. He was easy to work with and completely understood where our family was coming from when we were in a pinch to get a vehicle that was reliable and affordable. He gave us time and space to allow us to make decisions and was not pushy at all. The team at Thoroughbred was amazing and next time we are in the market for a vehicle Thoroughbred will be our first stop/look! Thanks Thoroughbred Platte City team!

I wouldn't recommend coming here to servicing any vehicle. The lack of response or communication about my vehicle made me feel under valued and it didn't even get fixed while still being under warranty. I got more promotional emails about the dealership purchasing my truck than I received phone calls about it. I had to be the one to call and seems like beg for information. I won't be returning here for service.

I really appreciate the genuine treatment I received when I first walked in. I was in a really hard spot and Tim did a great job with communication and professionalism. The rest of the team did great too (sorry I can't remember all of your names)! Walked out the same day feeling good about my purchase and securing my future with a good warranty and service package. If only my other experiences were just as good. Thanks again!

If you want a no-pressure, excellent vehicle purchasing experience look no further than Thoroughbred Ford of Platte City. The sales people and finance department are friendly, polite, and will not try to sell you a vehicle you do not want, cant afford, and are willing to make you the best offer in the metro.

Such a wonderful experience. We purchased two vehicles with Dawson and Shawn. They were very contentious about our time and made sure we had everything sorted quickly. The entire process from start to finish was seamless.

Been a customer for several years. This was the final straw.
Unfortunately, after getting my Ford F150 back each time there have been several issues that come up after each oil change.
1. It all started 2 years ago when I took my truck in for an oil change. They stated I needed new break pads. I had them installed and since then have had major, very expensive issues with breaks, ball joints, roters and wheel bearings since then.
2. Same tire on the passenger side has had repeated issues after getting break pads. Was told I need new rotors. Got those installed, then told something with my ball joints. Got that fixed. Then the shuddering starts after getting truck back.
3. "2nd set of roters" now need to be installed only after having them replaced after a few thousand miles.
4. Take the truck back again for shuddering, same tire passenger side acting weird yet again. Told now I need wheel bearings replaced. Got that done after being in the shop for 5 days.
When I questioned the front desk girl Breanna after receiving a text from her, that now I need wheel bearings replaced, she told me "it is what it is" and I thought that was odd. When I called to talk since she would not reply back via text, She became very defensive and completely shut off and did not communicate with me. This was very unprofessional.
I paid for the wheel bearings to be replaced.
Picked my truck up after 5 days of calling and trying to get updates, even after being told they would follow up with me.
Finally, get truck, Get into my truck and had a 2 1/2 inch crack in my windshield! I was told it was not their fault and a rock must of hit my windshield! "Never had a crack or anything before dropping my truck off." We are 100% certain they cracked our windshield blasting heat to thaw out the truck! After spending $1000 in wheel bearings and oil change, I'm now dishing out more money to replace my windshield that they cracked. ?
