“The techs are so helpful & knowledgeable. Super fast response times, & they are cost-conscious & transparent. They tell you costs up front and give you options. They recommend treatment options but don’t pressure you into treatments you can’t afford. Dr. Locke is the best. He really is the kindest, gentlest vet I’ve ever met. He sits on the ground & lets our small dogs approach him rather than trying to pick them up. Has been very helpful in managing our anxious pups. I’ve had positive experiences with Dr. Austen & Belew too. Not all vet clinics are created equal & Union Hill is by far the best of 3 we’ve used over the years.”

We recently had to make the hardest decision, letting our oldest dog cross the rainbow bridge. Dr Sims and the team made the entire experience peaceful for us and our girl.
From the personal touches, to helping us know that it was the best decision for our dog. They were there when we needed them the most! They gave us time, space, but also just hung out and was there. A whirlwind of emotions and they were so warm and kind.

“Awesome clinic with two vets on staff. It’s a ticketing system not an appointment based system. So depending on the traffic that day you could be waiting a little while before your ticket is called so keep that in mind. The vets care about your animals and do not overcharge. They also schedule check ups very easily too. 10 stars if I could. I will always bring my cats here. Thank you guys for helping my cat get better”

“We've been going to northland animal hospital since 2020 but needed a prescription filled for my 14 year old dog and when I called them to check the status was told they no longer have a vet on staff. They suggested I contact Barry Road Animal Hospital. I called Saturday morning and they squeezed me in that day so our prescription didn't lapse. Starting with the phone call, Melissa was very kind and helpful. Dr. Ruiz gave my dog the most thorough exam my dog has ever received and listened to all our concerns regarding our aging dog. Her approach was very methodical and her treatment plan was very well thought out. Because we were changing vets, the exam was complimentary. I wasn't expecting that and feel that she went above and beyond a typical checkup. I would've happily paid for the exam and additional personal care, but left only paying for medications. I don't know what's going on with northland animal hospital, but I'm grateful that I've found Barry Road AH. We've found a new vet for our dog and any future pets. I can't thank Melissa, Dr. Ruiz, the vet assistant, and the other vet that was there enough for helping us during the uncertainty occurring at our previous clinic.”

He has treated and healed two of my dogs, and now he is saving my cat!
He uses up to date treatments instead of the same old antibiotics that most vets just keep prescribing...
It's obvious that he is up to date on the latest and best treatments for many conditions.
He gave my cat a two week shot which allowed me to not have to give him medicine everyday like the other vet had me do... That is just one aspect of his superior approach to animal care! He will get your animal feeling better as he just did with my cat...he has been home 6 hours and he is already feeling better and interacting more like he did before he got this bad skin infection.
If you want a tried and tested vet, go see this vet ...his knowledge is as tall as he is...and he is really tall!!

“We took our cat in for a checkup.She is alot sassy to strangers,but they had a plan and worked around it.The vet tech who took her in the morning, explained everything to me and double checked what she needed that day. Afterwards,Dr.Tyler called us to let us know in detail what they did and what they thought and what the next plan of attack would be.He was very ,very thorough in his explanations and made me feel very comfortable.All staff is wonderful and caring.When I picked up my cat, Ms.Allison quickly got her retrieved for me so I could get to my next family appointment!!Thanks to everyone involved!
