“Customer service was amazing!!! Starts with entering the hotel………..Guys at the front door were very helpful and girls at the front desk willing to go extra mile. “Rooms: Spacious, plenty of room to move around.However, phone in room was not working, neither were many of the ice machines. Had to go to several floors to find one that was working. ie: 21st floor to the 10th floor for ice.Walkability: Convention Center was a block and a half away, so very convenient!Noteworthy details: Staff was very nice and friendly.”

“The staff at the hotel section were friendly (can NOT say the same for the mall's customer service office). The rooms were decent, but for the price, I've had way better accommodations through cheaper chains. The lock on the door was a battle, taking upwards of 5 tries per attempt to open the door from the outside. We couldn't use the TV because we didn't pay an extra $20 for internet. Toilets flush so loud you can hear the ones from 3 rooms away in the middle of the night (yet you have to flush multiple times in order for small amount toilet paper to go down). And the pool is really dirty...but hey free bottled water ?”

“we ended up being stranded overnight unexpectedly. the rooms were clean and they had food you could buy in the lobby in the middle of the night.the rooms were extended stay and I was very surprised at how comfortable the beds were. I am not exaggerating when I say I got a better night's sleep there than I have in more than a month. You found your business stay location. You will play hard ball on your trip for a few more nights in that bed.Airport shuttle service was fast and friendly and you are a tiny bit more than a mile from the airport.Breakfast was well done.This was my one bright spot on an otherwise crazy trip.Rooms: The bed! So comfy that if I could have stuffed the mattress into my luggage I would have.”

“This is a great place to stay when you can grab a deal on one of their rooms. We enjoy the water park, and I felt life their life guards were attentive and focused. Everything seemed to be pretty clean. The lock on our bathroom door in our room was broken, and the wifi was spotty towards the far end of the hotel (fourth floor about at the end of the hall), but those were the only minor inconveniences we encountered. We look forward to returning in the future!”
“Hotel was clean. The staff was amazingly attentive. Breakfast was good.Bad side: super soft water. My husband compared it to slime inside an alien pod. (He really wanted me to write that)Also if you are a family the layout is horrible. The bathroom door is partial see through and right in front of the bed so if your toddler is sleeping you cannot turn on the light in the bathroom.”

“This hotel is so nice and we will definitely stay here again when we visit family. The breakfast that is included is like a bistro. No paper plates or plastic utensils here or paper coffee cups. There is a fresh made breakfast plate of the day along with homemade muffins, bagels, toast, cereal and yogurt station with all the toppings, and several kinds of juice and lots of teas. They have fruit infused water available all day along with fruit. The rooms are nice and super comfy mattresses.”

“My wife and I stayed at Chateau Avalon, February 16-18, 2024. We stayed in one of the Venetian Suites. Our experience was excellent. The room was excellent, the two-person hot tub was perfect for us. The entire hotel was well designed and maintained. We loved our experience and we will go back.The "d'Nile" wine bar was very nice and intimate. Robert, who runs the place, was an outstanding host! The bar is well appointed with high quality spirits. Robert knows his business and makes the d'Nile experience a true joy. As an FYI, you don't need to be a guest at Chateau Avalon to enjoy the "d"Nile" experience.Also, the couples massages we had were great!”

“I honestly never write hotel reviews because most hotels aren’t worth reviewing. But this one is worth my time. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! Middle tier hotels are a dying industry. They are nearly impossible to find these days. Most often you’re going to pay top dollar just to get a somewhat decent room (or worse, pay medium dollar for an absolutely disgusting room). But I felt the price here was VERY fair. I paid exactly what I felt that I should have and got exactly what I wanted.
A very clean room with comfortable bedding. Plenty of soap, towels, coffee and tea provided. Mid-morning checkout. With a fully stocked complimentary breakfast. The decor is obviously not modern, but I really loved that. It feels nostalgic and homey. I arrived very late in the evening and the night clerk was very polite and friendly. The morning staff was just as polite. I really can’t believe any of the bad reviews here. I’d guess they haven’t been staying at a lot of hotels these days. Because hotels just aren’t what they used to be. If I ever come back to Kansas City, I’m staying here again.
Oh and they take cats and dogs too!”

“We stayed here while in town for a dance competition. The location was great, the price was very good, the pool was nice, oue room was very clean and comfortable. The fridge was a very good size. Breakfast was great. Add bacon to your weekend breakfast! The gentleman that helps with breakfast is GREAT, too. So friendly and helpful, and takes the time to talk to the guests and their kids!”

“The staff here are great. Friendly and fun to talk to. On multiple occasions we arrived back to the hotel and had full on conversations with the front desk.Breakfast was decent. Eggs, sausage, waffles, bread items, and cereal. Good for a quick lite breakfast.The location is great and many bars and restaurants are in walking distance.Also a quick 5 minute uber rode away to StrawberryHill in Kansas which is definitely worth the visit.”

“We recently stayed here. Location was great! There was small cafes, bars, etc. within walking distance. We also were not too far from Power and Light District. The rooms were so fun and unique. There is valet parking which we took advantage of. The only issue is that one of the people in our group staying here got their pickup broken into, even though he did valet parking as well so it was in a locked garage under the hotel.... He did contact the hotel and they are making it right. Otherwise we had no issues and it was a nice stay.”

Close to main street streetcar. Elevator seems to be ok. Quiet and not many guests. Water bottle is three bucks . I did not realize it is free for gold and diamond members”

“One of the best getaways I’ve had. The welcoming and warm atmosphere of this place is outstanding. The details put into making this B&B a relaxing and welcoming place can clearly be seen as soon as you walk through the door. Kathy is so nice and goes out of her way to make sure that you’re comfortable and taken care of. The breakfast was AMAZING! We will definitely be back.Nearby activities: Nestled in downtown Parkville with many shops and places to eat all within walking distance.Safety: Premises are always locked and they are very aware of who is coming and going/around their space.”
