Kept vehicle for months, when took test drive it stopped pulling self. Kept again, I eventually said enough, when went to pickup with trailer found out through staff that my new optima battery had been taken out without my permission and was gone! It went to court, he lost and was ordered to pay cost in full. It’s now been several years and haven’t seen a penny. I tried to be nice and keep my money local, so much for honesty/integrity .

My car sat there for months without even being touched. Had to fight to get my money back and get my car out there. They lie to customers and are very unprofessional.

Would give 20 negative stars if allowed. I honestly thought he was a decent man. I paid $1185 for him to rebuild my transmission he cashed check same day and said it would be done in 3-5 days keeps giving me the run around. I finally got my van today the lights were left on and battery was dead. There is paint bubbled on hood that wasnt there before. Transmission still slipping so not fixed. This man is nothing but a liar. Tried to make me feel sorry and make excuses because he is going through a divorce. Please do not make the same mistake I made and look him up. He has been doing this for years to people. He needs his shop shut down and never be allowed to open another.

John Hoff took 1185.00 from my daughter to rebuild transmission in her van. Said it would take a week. Dozens of phone calls and trips to his shop, full of lies and excuses. Almost 4 weeks later, pretty much had to make him give van back. Transmission still slipping. Can almost guarantee he didnt even touch it. Looked John Hoff up on casenet and BBB. Bad news. He has had numerous lawsuits against him. This man needs his business licence taken away, if he even has one. Would not even give this place 1 star but thats the only option it gave me. People beware, this guy is a crook. Do your research 1st

Would not recommend. Sat at his shop for a transmission rebuild for 4 weeks and he got nowhere, ended up going and getting the truck and taking it somewhere else. Repetitive liar, stopped by his shop at least 7 or 8 times and he was never there.

This guy doesn't know what he is doing. He is a big talker that can't back up what he says. Don't get snowballed by this greasy slime bag. Your vehicle will be worst, if you let him work on it.

Transmission went out in my truck, the day after a routine oil change from this joker. My brother made the mistake of taking his truck here for a transmission rebuild. Hoff kept it for over 2 months and when my brother got it back, it still wasn't right. After driving it for 1 week, it went out again. Hoff had it again for over a month the second time and within days of getting it back, it went out again. My brother had to take it to another transmission shop. They told him it wasn't put back together right and many old parts were used. Hoff refused to give him any of his money back. BEWARE of this guy. He is not capable of doing a big job and his word is no good. I've talked to several people that had the same experience with this shop.
