The food is always fresh and delicious with an amazing variety of desserts to choose from each day. The Castlewood senior living goes as a group on a regular basis with our residents and they are always accommodating to our large group and to our needs.

Its a quaint cafe within an antique/flea market type establishment. we went to it to try out a new place after reading good reviews. The wait was long (about 1 hour) but we were ok with walking through the flea market stalls as we waited. The food was ok, hardly any vegetarian options though and no hot food according to our server. Our server was awful. She had a very rude demeanor and treated us very aggressively and non welcoming. We basically felt as if we were a nuisance to her. We made our order and she did not bring one plate (a cake) which I assumed because she would bring it after the food. But when we finished and I asked for it she said we are out of this dessert! Then to make up for taking an order and not honoring it, she brought us a plate with mashed up cake pieces saying "it doesn't look great but it is the same cake type you ordered'! would you like it? I said NO! She was being incredibly ignorant or deliberately insulting. We would never go to that cafe again after this horrendous experience. On a positive note, the server at the front of the restaurant who took our names to call us when a table was free was incredibly nice and helpful. Unfortunately this still would not let me reconsider visiting this place again.

What an unfortunate lack of manners and customer service in this establishment! Our family wanted to take my mother out to lunch for her 70th birthday, but they refused to accommodate us because there were children in our party. My children are older and well behaved, yet we were discriminated against because of this. The last time I was there, the food was lackluster, but I wanted to try again bc my mother loves tea rooms. I will not be patronizing this establishment in the future and I am really disappointed in the uncouth behavior of the staff.

I would not recommend this place although I have enjoyed it in years past. They are very unfriendly towards children in this establishment; refusing to make reservations because there are children in the party. This is blatant age discrimination and unChristian behavior. I refuse to patronize this establishment.

Whatever you order here will be great! Sandwiches, soup, salad and especially the desserts! Don’t worry about the wait to get in, time flies as you stroll thru the antique booths. Well worth the wait!
