Lovely hosts and rooms. The unique part is watching the cows be milked in the same bldg where the bedrooms are (on 2nd floor!) and talking with the cheese pro. Breakfast of course features delish cheeses. It's our 2nd time staying here. It's a little out of the way but it's well worth the extra 15 min drive for a unique experience.

Rooms: Our room was fantastic! We had more than enough space. We spent time reading and relaxing in the room when we weren't meeting the many barnyard residents or learning about cows, milk, and cheese.Nearby activities: Many options in the area - from wineries and artisan farms to antique stores to hiking and natural pursuits.Food & drinks: The breakfast portion of this B&B is amazing. They'll have you skipping lunch for sure!

A very unique and interesting experience! From listening to the cows being milked at 9 pm right under your room to a delicious cheese tasting. The reason for only 4 stars is the cleanliness of the place was very disappointing. I would could only give that 1 or 2 stars. Everything was so dusty and cobwebs all over it just kinda freaked me out??♀️ even the stuff in the little “shop“ that you can buy. The owners are so friendly and hard working I don’t want to complain but I thought it could definitely be improved.

What a lovely Bed and Breakfast! Morning was my favorite time because the breakfast was amazing. My husband's favorite part was the smells of the dairy farm and cheese making. The history of the farm is fascinating. The rooms are huge and each has a wet bathroom. Toilet, sink, and shower. Views are amazing and I loved hearing the pigeons on the metal roof.

We had the best experience at Brinkman Farmstead B&B! Our stay was a breath of fresh air. Sweet Martha makes both breakfast hors d'oeuvres and a full breakfast each morning complete with fresh cheese from their cows. The cheese tasting was incredible - the Edom and Garlic Jack were our faves. This family is the most kind and they have a true gem tucked in Missouri. We can’t wait to come back!

The moment we arrived we immediately felt at home. Cheese maker Ben was very welcoming as he introduced his father Tom who gave us a tour of the entire living space and facility. The hayloft has been totally renovated with new wood ceilings, joists and floors - exceptional! We stayed in the Belgian room which I think was the nicest layout and very romantic. Very large with Sitting area, cafe table breakfast nook, sofa area and large bathroom area. Very clean and comfortable. Was very impressed that outside it was a working farm with 40 cows plus calves, chickens, turkey and the fresh scent of manure, but inside was fresh conditioned air without a trace of farm scents. We did the mozzarella making class. Highly recommended. We are well traveled and experienced foodies but we learned a lot about how fat, acids and salt affect taste and specifically how it totally changes the flavor of wine. Tom is a great teacher and excellent chef. His breakfast was outstanding which I won’t go into details because I’m sure it changes regularly. We enjoyed a cheese tasting of everything they make and bought one of each. For a total escape from your normal routine I would highly recommend the Brinkmann farmstead.
