My recent purchase of an engagement ring was extremely painful. There were a lot of factors that went into this being one of the worst purchasing experiences of my life: some of these were my responsibility, some were on the Shane Co floor/sales staff, and some of them were on Shane Co's IT/website/online processes. The original review I tried to post exceeded the character limit of Google reviews so here was my experience with less context. * I placed an order for an engagement ring on 10/24. This purchase required a special order. The sales associate said it would take a max of 8 weeks for the order to arrive but that she'd never actually seen a special order take that long. The special order took longer than 8 weeks. * When I placed the order, two separate invoices were generated. Shane Co's website never showed these purchases together. * When I placed my order, the entire thing was setup as Lay Away and on a payment plan. I voiced some confusion on how this worked and mentioned I would rather just pay for everything upfront. I was told this is how the orders had to be placed. * Shane Co's website had no order tracking and no estimated date of delivery. All I ever could see was "Order Submitted". Consequently, I could only get the status of my order by contacting a sales associate. * In the beginning of November, after receiving some automatically generated receipt for the Lay Away / Payment Plan, I went ahead and made unscheduled payments to pay for my order in full. However, this was for only 1 of the 2 invoices (the invoice for the engagement ring itself). I did not realize at the time that there was still the second invoice for the special order itself. * When I messaged a Sales Associate at the end of November asking when my order was expected to arrive, I was told December 30th. * When my order became available on December 21st, I was notified of this via two methods. The first way, was someone calling me (I had never been contacted by Shane Co via that phone number so it was unrecognized and I let it go to voicemail). The voicemail was not detailed and mistranscribed by Apple, so I deleted the voicemail thinking it was spam. * The second form of communication I got from Shane Co was an email. No where on this email did it say my order was ready. All I was sent was the equivalent of a receipt that looked identical to the automatically generated Lay Away / Payment Plan receipts. This email said my amount due was $0. I was NEVER sent any email from Shane Co specifically saying things like "Your order is ready." This email also reinforced my belief that I had fully paid for my order. * Despite having previously communicated with Sales Associates via text and email, I was never contacted by anyone via these methods (the email I did get was autogenerated by Shane Co and not from a specific Sales Associate). * I sent text messages to the Shane Co number twice (on 12/28 and 01/02), asking about the status of my order. Neither of my messages were responded to. * On 01/04, I sent an email to a sales associate, inquiring about the status of my order. The sales associate informed me that my order was here. I interpreted here as ready to be picked up as the sales associate did not provide any other instructions or context. * On 01/08, I went to go pick up my order only to be told it was not ready and would be available on 01/13 at the soonest. The reason it was not ready was because of the remaining balance on the special order invoice which I was not aware was unpaid. I paid for the remaining balance immediately. Again, I received no communication from Shane Co *specifically* saying my order had arrived much less that I was the cause for the delay in the order being ready. * I picked up my order on 01/13. It very well may be that my experience was a confluence of bad events, but I can only review the experience that I had. And the summary of that experience is that it was an awful and I would never recommend Shane Co to anyone.

I was shopping for an engagement ring and went 4 places before coming to Shane Company. None of the other places came close to the customer service, I figured with how great the customer service was the prices would be sky high. I was wrong, best pricing, best service, best people!

When Shane Co. says "You Have A Friend In The Diamond Business" they mean it.My husband and I were lucky to have visited the Olive Blvd. storein hopes of finding a setting that I had seen online.Justin the store manager was able to find the setting and then proceeded to show us options for the Crown. The setting I foundwas beautiful and the Crown he showed us enhanced the diamond beyond my expectation.Everyone from Justin to Janet who was able to get my ring sized to a perfect fit were so helpful and dedicated to making our experience perfect.Thank you Shane Co.

I bought my wife's wedding rings here. I was very nervous and wasn't really sure what to do. The staff was very very helpful and I picked the perfect rings. My wife loves them. Also, their customer service is outstanding. I would never buy Jewelry a rings from anywhere, but here.

So friendly. The only store where I enjoy talking to consultants.Update 09/2023:Added photo.We got our wedding rings here, and they're beautiful. The consultant was so nice as always. I went in to clean my ring a few days before our wedding. The consultant made sure to have it polished too which I didn't know that was something to be done! She also gave us a double ring box to use for the wedding day. Thank you!

Sash helped us find my engagement ring. She did an amazing job! She listened to every detail and provided lots of information about the best way to wear my ring. I'm a hair stylist and she advised me how to still wear my ring and keep it looking great. She gave us all the options in our budget and spent over an hour making sure we were completely satisfied with our choice.

Justin at Shane Co. on Olive Blvd was a great help! We went in for our 5 year anniversary to get another band. I was having a hard time deciding and he did not rush us or push us in any direction. He was extremely helpful in the decision making process and helped me figure out which one I wanted. He made great suggestions, was knowledgeable and friendly. We didn't feel like we were talking to a salesman, we felt like we were talking and laughing with a friend. All over a wonderful experience. Especially when making purchase that large can often be stressful. Thank you Justin! We will be back!

We have always loved Shane Co. They've never failed us. This trip was unscheduled/unplanned. The prong on my ring broke. Fate and fate alone allowed me to locate the diamond. Found in the drum of my dryer. Frank Nickerson is a great salesman. Knowledgeable, helpful, thoughtful, and didn't make us feel rushed. He was honest and informative. We walked away with two new rings. Mine tripled in size. Whoop whoop. ? but it was my choice. Anyway, we love Shane Co. ❤️ customers for life.

Brendan was Great, he took his time to show me a wide range of engagement ring settings, in the style my girlfriend is wanting. Then he showed me a few loose diamonds and explained the difference between them. It was a nice experience and I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything. He also explained the warranty coverage which is the best out there.

We have had two great experiences at ShaneCo. Today Jess spent so much time with us, showing us all the options for opals until we were completely satisfied. Also helped us with a pendant, so knowledgeable about options. We asked her a million questions. We don’t buy our jewelry anywhere else!

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect engagement ring and band, and I found it today! Topher was so amazing and helpful in everything he did. He wasn’t pushy, allowed us to try on a million different bands, and was so friendly! I had an amazing experience and wished that they were located in my town. I’m in love!!

I’m I am so appreciative of Michele! I spent over an hour, more like two hours, trying to find a replacement for the diamond that I lost out of my wedding ring. She was very patient and helped me narrow down what I really wanted within my budget. She even suggested having my wedding bands rhodium plated to make sure that they matched the new ring! Then she told me that I could put it in layaway and then if I wasn’t sure I could use that money towards anything. But I loved what I picked . I went to pay and the other Michelle helped me through the process. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

Shane Co. in St. Louis (Olivette) is AMAZING! We bought our wedding rings there 24 years ago. Recently, under strange circumstances, my solitaire actually broke off from my wedding ring and I called Shane Co. in tears. They paid for me to ship my ring to them (we now live out of state), reviewed the situation, and then proceeded to replace and repair my ring at no cost to me. In short, they honored their guarantee! In a day and age where customer service and ethical business practices seem to be non-existent, Shane Co. rises above the rest! Michelle took great care and always returned calls promptly. She even followed up to make sure everything was right once I received my new ring. I would HIGHLY recommend Shane Co. for any of your jewelry needs!

My Husband and I are repeat customers at Shane Co. for many reason; however, the second-to-none customer service ranks high on that list!! Whether I’ve walked in wearing sweat pants or carrying a Louis Vuitton bag; I was ALWAYS treated with the same IMPECCABLE level of service!!While everyone we’ve ever encountered at Shane has been FANTASTIC, I want to give a very special thanks to Erin and Michelle for all of their assistance and patience as I picked out my new FLAWLESS ring!!We’ve been purchasing at Shane Co., ever since our engagement ten years ago! Great experience and made the process of picking the "perfect" ring very nice. They took their time and listened to find a ring and diamond to fit OUR budget, and goals of style ... not pushing a sales quota ... highly recommended. Has the largest selection of rings and diamonds we could find in a 100 mile radius. Before we found Shane Co, "other" stores were showing us on a computer, which is impossible to really get a feel for style and looks. They have an inventory where you can hold, feel and try on SEVERAL rings.
