Dustin helped get my truck ready so I can haul my new camper and everything went great! Turns out I already had some things previously installed and they were honest with me, saving me $200! Nice to know there is a place that is honest and not trying to rip people off. I appreciate their work and how quick it took to finish! Definitely recommend.

I did an online quote for Lake St. Louis Location. Received a call few days later. Asked if I wanted to confirm. Said as soon as I find a coupon code I will. She offered to give me one. I said great, lets do it. Showed up at Lake St. Louis at 10AM Saturday. Was told the reservation wasn't at that location but at the Hwy K location. I was never told this when the person called. Went to Hwy K location, everyone was on their phones. Explained situation that this location wasn't where I wanted to pickup and drop off as it added about 5 miles each way, so extra gas and milage at .79 cents a mile but they just wanted to know if I wanted to cancel or pickup the van. So unconcerned and acted like there was nothing they could do. Upon return I pulled into return area and waited. No one came. I went in and again everyone was on their phones. He said can I help you after looking up from his phone and I said I have a check in, and he put his head up and said, oh are you out there? He wasn't even aware I was out there waiting. After check in I was given a bill that showed a flat rate for 100 miles, for $89.00 when I only used 93 @.79 cents a mile would have been $73.47, not $89.00. Again, I said something to the man on duty and he said there was nothing he could do. Although we aren't talking a lot of $ either way, I don't like these business practices to nickel dime and then say there is nothing that can be done. Very disingenuous in their ability to help solve the issue presented. Plus the bait and switch adding miles and gas to my rental in the first place and having to go to a location that wasn't near my house like I did the quote for and was never told this is at the Hwy k location, not Lake St. Louis. Seems to me someone needs to tell folks to stay off their phones and help customers and stop passing the buck when things are wrong when a customer brings it up to them. Very poor customer service if you ask me.

All things were great until trailer leaked while taking my daughter to college and when I returned, was told by employee that "that happens sometimes".Even if that's the case, maybe mention that up front for preparedness.

I’ve used U-Haul several times and this experience was by far the best! It was simply the best due to Matt and his awesome customer service skills. He was very friendly and had a genuine demeanor! Not to mention the store smelled amazing really fresh. (Fyi their new spray they were using) I would recommend anyone to this particular U-Haul if you want excellent customer service and a easy peasy process.

I ordered a truck from Uhaul via phone, and mentioned several times that I wanted a tow dolly. The woman on the phone gave me a quote offering a reduced price for the pair. I was satisfied with the price. However, when I got to the Uhaul location, I found out that the order had been put in incorrectly, and I was being charged for an auto transport that costed about $120 more. Not only that, but I found out the quote the woman had given me over the phone didn't include tax, so I was being hit with an extra $150 in taxes. There were no tow-dollies available, so I was stuck with the auto transport. I felt like I had been baited and switched. However, the manager and employees at the Uhaul location were sympathetic and very accommodating. While nothing could be done about the taxes, manager was willing to refund me the difference between the tow dolly and the auto transport.Uhaul: 1 starUhaul Hwy K location: 5 stars

Great Uhaul location! Employees were very friendly. Went there to have a towing hitch installed for my new bicycle rack. Dustin Steel the technician there was exceptional. A big thank you to Matt Kaminski the general manager there who went out of his way to solve a problem that came up involving a defective hitch. Matt tracked down another hitch at a different location and went and got it so our weekend of biking plans didn't get ruined. Thank you for the exceptional service Matt!

I've rented trucks and vans from this location numerous times and have been completely satisfied with all of our transactions! They may be artists.... But not artists of "scamigery"! They've always been helpful, fair, knowledgeable, courteous and accommodating with all of my needs for vehicles or storage! I'll be back Uhaul on K!!!... & Thank you!!

These people are scam artists! I made a reservation online that clearly showed that I declined the optional insurance(see photo). When I arrived I gave my information. They confirmed it was for an auto-transport and gave me my total. Just before I clicked on the accept button on the credit card machine, I realized the total sounded a little high. After checking, it turns out they added the "optional" insurance on without asking. That is a scummy way of doing business! The guy behind the counter said the system always adds it. That's even worse! They KNOW the system adds it fraudulently! That makes EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM a willing part of the scam unless they ask each person if they want the insurance during checkout. The worst part about it is if you get frustrated about them trying to scam you for "options" you clearly declined, they try to turn it around on you. They try to make YOU the a-hole for speaking up about it. I think they call that "gas-lighting". BTW, when you make an online reservation with U-Haul and want to go back and verify if you "accidentally" selected insurance, then you won't see it. They have removed that part from the reservation...well, they remove it from what is visible to you so you can't fight it after the rental is made. You have to print out the screen PRIOR to finalizing your reservation to have a record of it. Isn't that wonderful? You get scammed and they hide the proof that they did it. I know, it's only $8 or so, but how many people do they scam on a daily basis???? If you do the math...Company-wide, it means MANY MILLIONS of dollars per year. Any hungry lawyers looking for a class-action????? The manager's name is Ed. He is the one who acknowledged the system adds it to every order. I have filed a complaint with the FTC. If enough people file a complaint, something will happen.

Rented from this location before and it was fine. Rented today and our $19.95 rental came in at $89.00. I went 10.5 miles total and paid them $30.00 to fill it up. Picked it up with 1/4 tank and brought it back with same.Never again will I use them. I should have taken a pic of gas gage and the mileage. RIP OFF.

UHaul and this location is the most corrupt business I have ever experienced. ***This is a warning*** DO NOT RENT from this business. Rented a pick up truck to move bags and boxes out of our basement. While I was inspecting the truck during pick up I noticed damage on the back. The guy cleaning the ice out said "oh yeah That has already been adjusted there's an X sticker right there". No walk around no paperwork to check damage whatsoever. Luckily I took a picture of the damage before getting in. When I returned the truck the guy there (different guy) said that damage wasn't there and I would have to talk to the manager in the morning. I went to the uhaul rental location in the morning. Showed the manager my time stamped picture. He said I would not be charged and will send receipt. Fast forward 2 months later. I just received a $1,350 bill from their insurance company. I called the manager... He doesn't remember, there are no notes, etc. He obviously filed the claim. Now if I do not pay they will send to collections. DO NOT RENT FROM UHAUL EVER! Thats my warning to everyone.

Usually every occasion I have with U-Haul is fine. We rent a U-Haul 5 times a year for events that we run to transport our equipment to and from. When I returned the U-Haul I had stated that we didn't use the dolly in the back of the truck and the employee (josh) proceed rudely to tell me that he is going to charge me for. I told him no you are not I didn't use the dolly it was broken off of it when I rented the truck and this has happened multiple occasions so I didn't think to report to them before returning the U-Haul that it wasn't attached to it. Sure maybe it broke off when we were driving it, but we had not used it or needed it. He got in my face and started aggressively yelling at me, while I had not said some nice things either. The way he treated the situation and escalated it was absolutely unnecessary. Threatening to hit me and repeatedly telling me to leave the property when I needed to get my stuff out of the cab of the truck and return the U-Haul. I have never had an altercation like this with any professional services. I am honestly shocked by Josh's "professionalism". I will not be returning to this U-Haul ever. The manager was very professional and de-escalated the situation and I appreciate him for that. Take what you will with my review but if you are dealing with a guy name josh, he's got a short temper.
