This place is the absolute best! They do quality work and for a fair price. You can trust them and that is the most important thing to me.

Definitely honest mechanics. Are upfront, honest, will give advice regarding any part of a vehicle including purchasing, repairs, and what needs to be done to keep the vehicle alive and safe. Worked on all my families cars, and always do an amazing job

Was told it was time for front brakes from a recommendation at a local oil change business. Turned out I still had 1/3 of my pads left by Ruder. Got my one defective tire pressure monitor sensor replaced after I was told by the same oil change place that the only way to find the defective sensor was to just replace all four sensors at $100+ each.

I used to feel great bringing my car here. It started with oil changes, and they’ve also done a few repairs for me.
The last two times I brought my car to be serviced/repaired, (twice in a month) the staff feels it appropriate to voice to me how much the technician did not like working on my vehicle.
I got the lug nuts replaced and was told how the technician said it was “not fun.”
I got my thermostat replaced, and was told when I called to check on progress that the technician said he had a hard time and was “never doing that again” ??? Okay, well it’s a good thing you didn’t do it for free. I’ve never had a business tell me that they wouldn’t work on my car because it was “too hard”. It’s a repair shop?
When I got the lug nuts replaced, I asked them to check my tires because one of them was losing air faster than the others. I mentioned this multiple times and asked about the tires again when they called to tell me my check engine light was on because thermostat was failing. The person on the phone told me the tires were “good.”
I get my car back after lug nuts are replaced, one of the tires is still reading much lower. I still took the car back to them to have the thermostat repaired, this past Friday. I dropped my car off at 8:30 am and asked the person at the front desk if I should expect my car back later that day or Monday. He said “well I sure hope it would be today!” The technician was working on my car up until close, and when he pulled it up and walked back in the shop I thanked him with a smile and he had a perturbed look on his face as he passed me . I also was told my tire did have a slow leak that they patched, which had been there since my previous visit.
When I got in my car, the heat was turned on full blast for some reason (it was 60 degrees Fahrenheit) and my tire was reading at 0 instead of 37 psi. I thought
the gauge just needed time to adjust. I picked my car up Friday. It is Sunday and not only is the psi only showing 18, I went to check with a manual tire gauge; and it’s not even reading 10 psi. They also didn’t replace the valve cover.
I’m very disappointed with the service I’ve been receiving from Ruder lately. As a small business; I found them to be more reputable on the past. I am always friendly and patient when I patronize this shop, and appreciative. But this is unacceptable.
EDIT: Sunday 3/16/24 4:09 pm. I decided to drive my car around because I specifically got it fixed before I went out of town THIS COMING TUESDAY and wanted to make sure it was actually repaired after the way I was treated upon pickup. After arriving home and sitting in my car for 10 minutes, I noticed smoke billowing from the hood. I opened the hood to see the engine smoking and coolant sprayed everywhere. I am LIVID. I feel like the technician did a shoddy job because he knew I couldn’t bring it back until after the weekend. I’m so upset right now.

They properly diagnosed the real issue with my car. They were thorough, honest and saved me from a $1000 water pump replacement I didn't need but had been told I needed by another local shop.

The best in town or all around. Reasonable, honest, fair and they are very good people. I don’t take my car anywhere else. Both of the brothers are hilarious and make the wait worth it in addition to all of the good things listed above. Character goes a long way.

We have had a lot of difficulty finding a good local mechanic . The chains tend to be busy around here. I love the fact that this local shop was not only able to get us in quickly but they were extremely responsive and their pricing is very fair. I absolutely would recommend this business, and we look forward to doing business with them in the future.

Had a problem and they fixed it without ripping me off, for a reasonable price. Very rare in this day and age.
