Not even going to waste my time writing all my grievances. Sweet and short; I was lied to multiple times, paid $450 more at checkout than what I was quoted for a job, they do not honor their guaranteed vehicle return date- mine was in the shop for over a month for a dent they caused. They intentionally or not did not pick up or return my calls for weeks and other ***** details.Incredibly disappointed with how they treat their customers who purchased a brand new vehicle from them. No problems in the actual service they provided though. So great if you don't mind forking over dollars you were told you wouldn't have to spend on their own made up time line. Within this time they fired and replaced their service manager - I don't think he was the problem.

I purchased a 2020 Impala from Jim Trenary Chevrolet about a week ago.The whole process exceeded my expectations. I drove about 2 hours and found exactly what I wanted in this vehicle. Brett, my salesman, made everything flow right along, answering all my questions along the way. I have to give a lot of props to Gina as well, for helping me navigate my first financing process. I had many many questions and she answered every single one. (even after I got home with my new car) This is my first big purchase and I couldn’t be happier with how everything went.I was also able to add an extended warranty which was one of the best parts of all! I’m hoping to have many years with this beaut of a car, thank you to Jim Trenary Chevrolet!Highly Recommend!!

I would absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle or for service. I bought my 2024 Chevy Trax here and I was highly impressed with the sales staff and the finance department. I also had an opportunity to check out the service department and speak with a few members of their team, they were very informative and friendly. Throughout the whole process I felt like my needs were being properly taken care of. Thank you Jim Trenary team! Well done!

Ethan and Kevin were both super helpful for my first ever purchase of a new car! I was able to test drive the Chevy Bolt EV and EUV on my own time with my partner so that we could get a feel and discuss. Afterwords, Ethan and Kevin helped us with the buying process. Both were honest and helpful throughout the process, and the car has been wonderful so far!

While visiting another local dealership for a test drive I looked up "no haggle" Chevy dealerships and Jim Trenary Chevy popped up. I called and Ethan Secosh answered. I told him we were on our way. He was there to greet us. Everything went smoothly and I purchased a new Chevy Bolt EV 2LT within the hour. It wasn't an impulsive buy as I had done a lot of research well in advance of my visit. The process was easy, clear and efficient. The orientation I received on the day I picked up the car and follow up have been great. My experience with Jim Trenary in purchasing my new car was great.

I had a wonderful experience at Jim Trenary Chevrolet in O’Fallon! I was able to set up an appointment days in advance and the car was pulled up and ready for me before I even arrived. The whole team made my first car buying experience wonderful. I am so happy with my brand new car, and it wouldn’t have went so smoothly without each one of their team’s staff. I would love to give Brett, Gina, and Blake a huge shout out for all their help during the process! And staying after hours to complete the buying process in one evening! :)

This is the first time I’ve bought from this dealership and although they were severely understaffed due to illnesses, etc. I was overall very satisfied with our experience.They did not meet my price number on the first vehicle that I liked but that told me that their initial offer is generally the best you’ll receive so I ended up with an equally great vehicle at their best price. Paul did a good job negotiating our needs.Well done and looking forward to using the service department in the future.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I scheduled an oil change, inspection & emissions. When I got there to check in I was told their machine wasn't working for inspections but I went ahead & got the oil change...3 1/2 hours it took to do the oil change. During that time the machine was again working. I got the inspection but failed emissions. When I was ready to redo the emissions test I called for an appointment several times but was told the machine wasn't working & they had no idea on when it would be. Called the following week & same thing. Finally was able to get it retested....2 hours later for just the emissions retest & wouldn't you know it but I had to pay for another emissions test since I wasn't able to get in in due to their machine not working. When I questioned this I was told that Troop C was responsible for the machine not working & not Jim Trenary. AVOID this dealer at all costs!

46 days now and counting of Jim Trenary NOT standing behind the repair. Truck was never repaired at any other place. They damaged and replaced radiator but did not secure positive wire causing electrical issues.. I will update weekly….Let me start by saying my truck 2019 truck was purchased at Jim Trenary in 2020 3 years old and never taken any where until April 2023 for a major repair. (Jim Trenary) Yes tire replaced and normal oil changes/ maintenance. Nothing to do with any major component we are talking about. I also wanted to point out that communication was terrible.Time line of mistakes/errors1. Bolts are broken off taking off fuel pump$3344 damage2. Radiator was punctured (I was never told until it was on the bill)3. Bolts left off air intake4. Low transmission level ( added more at my second trip) unknown damage $$$$5. Bolt left off air intake still not put on they need to check truck back in a second time.From April till July had no issues tillbattery cable shorted out from the radiator miss install (Jim Trenary)6. Bolt left off or bracket on battery cable( $1800 damage)7. Not sure what else was touched or not securedPictures below are what I talk to service manager about the direct damage from Jim Trenary repair. I will gladly update post when you stand behind the April repair.My truck was worked on in April. Just out of warranty. Was quoted $1700 for a new fuel pump& transmission oil changed. Parts were ordered an took a week to come in. Jim Trenary was a little high and could not help me with price but was loyal and agreed to repair. I get a call from them and they tell me that the bolts are sheared off on the old fuel pump. They said it would now be $2300 to drill out and retap the holes. I again said this was nothing I did and ask if they could help me out again it was a no. The next day I get a call from them again that it failed and they are going to order replacement head now I am up over $3300. They tried to make me feel better that some was covered by GM. The price was $3800 when went in and they took it off said that the new radiator was replaced. This was nothing I knew about. I was looking at end cost to me. I was able to me with the service manager and pleaded my case that two $10 bolts cost my price to double. I was insulted that he said I was not a loyal customer. I explained my last 3 car are Chevy. His comment was that I did not get regular service /oil changes. After about two weeks I was feeling issue with transmission shifting differently than before. I opened the hood to check oil level ( only to find out my truck does not have a dip stick). I was shocked to see my air shroud was coming off the bolts were not connected. I drove up to have them fix this and check transmission oil level. I waited at dealership for over 3 hours. The manager said I was ready to go. He said that transmission was low and not to worry it takes some time to get feeling like it used to. I open the hood and walked back in they did nothing to secure the air shroud in place. I again waited for my truck 40 mins. I vented again on the lack of follow up. I began having issues with the truck in July. I contacted GM for help. They recommended POAGE because I did not feel comfortable with the service level from Trenary. The tech said that when the radiator was replace they did not reconnect my positive cable cause $1800 in damages cable , fuse, bus and alternator. The cable rubbed on pulley shorting out. The GM rep assured me he would get all this covered and that Jim Trenary would need to cover.Now I am out of $5100 because of two $10 bolts. My truck was down for almost 4 week between the two dealerships. The transmission still does not feel right.The tech notated on the original paper work that the bolt sheared of from a previous install. The only install was from the factory this was the first time my truck was in for anything.I am hoping this review gets to some one above service manager. Still waiting for GM rep to call me back…..

I’m so disappointed with the service we received the last time at the dealership. We always service our vehicles here and usually receive top notch service, unfortunately the last visit not so much.They left several dirty fingerprints on the steering, door handles inside and out, windshield and hood release. We don’t receive our car wash although others did. Service was subpar to say the least. We did call and only received a dry apology. Very disappointing to say the least.

I spoke with Cody requesting to get a Bolt EUV ordered because it was extremely difficult to find one in stock. He said he would call me the next day to get the process started. Well he did call me the next day with the best news. They told me they had the car I wanted with ALL the packages I wanted, and it was mine if I came down there today to sign the purchase order. I did not hesitate! I worked with Cody Tubbs (sales) and Jason (finance). They treated not just me, but my friends very well. I was able to get the car I wanted, relatively stress free. Everyone there was super nice, and I love my car! I would recommend them to everyone!

I had an appointment to bring my car in at 9. I had my first free oil change and tire rotation scheduled. I was also having trouble with my backup camera. It would stay on for several minutes. I LOVE my car. I haven’t had my own car in a long time. I have health issues so it wasn’t on the top of my list. They never called me on Monday to say my car would not be done. I had to work at 6 am on Tuesday. I never knew that it was an option that it wouldn’t be ready. I started calling around 3:30-4 to check the status. That was a circus. There were dropped calls and nobody knew what was going on. It seemed like my car was missing. Your service department isn’t the friendliest but I wasn’t even that worried about that. I just wanted a way to work. I finally talk to Grace? She says the workers leave at 4 and my car was not even looked at???? Wow. Then the next day nobody calls me to tell me that it’s ready!!! My son goes to pick it up and your staff is more worried about playing candy crush than doing their job. I won’t be back. I had bought 2 packages to take care of my car which I have now canceled. I’m very disappointed.

It’s not very often that I write a review, but this experience deserves one! First of all shout out to Kevin Burke, the manager at Jim Trenary. He has gone out of his way to make sure that my car buying experience goes well! Ethan Secosh was an exceptional sales person, wasn’t pushy in anyway. Made sure that I was happy from start to finish, made the car buying process easy and 100% stress free. Paul Mansker from finance was absolutely wonderful, didn’t try to upsell me anything that I didn’t need, Walked me through every single step of the application process, and ended my car buying experience so pleasant. I had a lot of anxiety going in considering the last time that I bought a vehicle it didn’t go… Great. This whole process was above and beyond my expectations and I will recommend this group to anyone! I am absolutely in love with my new Trax :)

We bought our Corvette from them and Brett was awesome during the whole experience. Great communication before we came to see it and even after the sale. I would definitely recommend Brett and Jim Trenary Chevrolet if you’re looking to buy a vehicle.

7/29 addendumNick, the service manager, called to formally apologize and address the situation. He assured me that policies were not followed and he was conducting an internal review to determine wherr and why they broke down and remediate. I am to also get a couple free oil changes._----------------Took my Colorado in for oil change and tire rotation. Took all day for a 7:30 am appointment . Then, drove off the lot to find out they only hand-tightened lug nuts on one tire. Waited in 95 degree heat for a tech to show up to fix. No apologies. No invitation to bring it back for inspection. Just there you go, shouldn't be any damage, go on your way.
