Nasty employees bad attitudes treat you like the tissue you wipe your behind with. Blonde hair branch manager very rude, racist poor customer service and make threats towards you and when ask to speak to someone else she’ll try and threaten withlaw even though she started the chaos.

I’ve banked with Commerce since I was 15. Never had any issues, up until this year. My debit card was shutdown a whole month early. So that means I went an entire month without money. Are you kidding me!? Then, they said they shipped a new card. 28 days later, I still don’t have a new card. They told me they were overnighting me a new one…which would mean it should be at my residence the next day. Still no card. Tracking says it won’t get here till Monday, so that’s another 2 more days I won’t have access to money. Absolutely disappointing and zero reasons this wasn’t addressed sooner and with more attention. I WILL be pulling all money from my account and closing it out sad to say after 20 plus years of banking with Commerce. Zero regard for their customers. Disgusting.

Disappointing they closed this branch entirely. Says they might open in March 2021. Guess I need to move all my business to First Community 1/4 mile down the road. Not even a notice or phone call explaining why the abandoned us.

Like another reporter indicated. The Commerce Bank In Kirkwood is a tomb. This is not an issue if you are OK waiting inordinate amounts of time for any service. I have waited as long as 20 minutes to get access to my safety deposit box. As I have maintained a box for many years at this bank, I have endured the time amiably. I received my annual billing statement July 2019. The fee increased by 60%. I received no advance notice. I called the number on the statement to check if there was an error. The phone was answered with a recording that stated the safety deposit box line is no longer monitored. I was directed to dial another number (no programming to automatically transfer). After dialing the referral number, I received a voicemail response which stated "Diane Miller is unavailable." Of course, I thought that I had misdialed. I called the original number again to confirm the correct referral number. I was correct the first time. I left a message to return my call. I would think any bank requires employees to begin voice messages with identification of the bank. I did not receive a return call until a day later. This respondent coolly indicated that rates had increased. I reported that my rate increase was more than doubled. The response was That's right." With the service sorely deteriorating, the rates more logically should be decreasing!

Painfully irrelevant bank and branch. Consistently understaffed, like a tomb inside. Entry level people are genuine and helpful. One "Personal Banker" is toxic. Did not even speak to me the entire time having something notarized. Just left drive-up, waited 19 minutes to be acknowledged. All lines waiting yet the last-in-line customer screaming about the service through the glass was suddenly taken first over ALL of the rest of us. A Friday, at lunchtime rush, prior to a bank holiday on Monday, and one person is working drive-through. I'm told someone, a banker, called on sick. That's a banker, where is the teller staff. I'll tell you where. Likely gone because this place is like a revolving door. It could be that or another example of poor management. Inappropriate teller staff and a banker making a 4 day week for themselves. Likely the"personal banker" who more than one person gas complained about in reviews. Eventually another mystery-worker showed up. Couldn't tell you a name or anything else. At the end, I asked this person politely if I could provide some feedback. The person sighed audibly into the microphone, and said "go ahead". I explained the whole thing and with zero empathy being given, I said the "@ss" word, about the bank, not directed at the person. I bring the expletive up because I don't want this consistently unimpressive operation to attempt to discount my complaint because of it. Best yet, after sharing my frustration she says, curtly, nothing but, "thanks William have a nice weekend!". Beware, this bank has an archaic online banking platform. Could not even transfer money between accounts. Their fees are outrageous, so unbelievably out touch with modern banks. $37 fee for going negative Thing is, their "app" only shows SOME of the transactions, so if you have a bunch of automated bills you can get tagged because the reporting is not accurate. Additionally you have to login separately with different IDs to different types of accounts. A true dinosaur, feeding off a hay-day it once had. My extended family have been clients for decades, but we're leaving and I implore you to stay away. There is no "value-add" whatsoever to this operation. Add in this branch and you're in the hole.

Don't come here and expect good customer service . The staff is extemely unfriendly and unappreciative of your business . I sat down with an alleged banking specialist and she kept getting up every 5 seconds to ask her co workers the answers to all my questions . Then offered no solutions to my problems I came in for . Bottom Line don't waste your time here.!!

The staff at this branch are helpful, but the corporate account support is very poor. I've put every paycheck for over 30 years in this bank and had wonderful service for most of that time. Lately they only see me as a mark to charge fees. They were about to charge my kid's college savings accounts a fee for being "inactive" even though they make regular deposits. What a crummy way to make money.
