I have had many pleasant experiences with various employees of this bank through the years. Exchanging my money for Mexican for vacation, clearing fraud charges from my account, advising me of the best types of accounts to get the most from my money deposits, are just a few. I highly recommend this Commerce Bank of O'Fallon, MO. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeble.

This is not my bank, but my elderly mother's. My father recently died and my mom is overwhelmed with everything, but especially finances. Cathy and Chris were so helpful in walking her through things. If it wasn't for my Merrill Lynch account being at Bank of America, I would probably move my accounts here!

I've been with commerce for about 9 years now and I've done transactions with 3 main branches. This branch is my favorite! The staff is always friendly and are helpful with any questions I may have. The current manager there seems very engaged with his customers. Recently, I went to the drive thru and while another teller was working my transaction he went out of his way to say Hi and ensure that I was having a good experience.

After being a customer for 48 years, my mom passed away last month. Yesterday, I went the the Commerce Bank on Elm Street in O’Fallon, MO to close her account and the bank Manager, Stephanie Porthouse, told me I have to go through probate court to get the $100 that’s left in her account. I found this interesting considering my mom and I had gone to that same bank several years ago and added my name as Power of Attorney and payable upon death. Stephanie Porthouse told me they don’t have Payable Upon Death in their system and told me I have to go through Probate Court to get the money. That’s very convenient for Commerce Bank knowing it’s not worth the money to hire an attorney to get $100 back. So I guess Commerce Bank gets that bonus money when people die?

Its upsetting when you are locked out of your account and call their customer service line, a recording tells you they are having a overwhelming number of people calling so you have to call back later and it hangs up..completely unhelpful and not good customer service!!
