My money has been stuck for now 3 weeks with the only option of verification is by providing a phone number that may or may not allow a verification text. I’ve been unable to access my funds over a number that isn’t even linked to my account. They won’t let me verify with anything not my social birthday even me try sending my id. And when asked for a manager I was told that I will just be told the same thing over and over and when I asked for corporate number the gave me a false number I’m starting to feel like they are scamming me. I have absolutely no way of accessing my funds and there are only Citibank atms where I live no real branch near by. I regret ever going through them

I’m yet another victim of Citi. They unexpectedly closed my account with no explanation just a letter and didn’t issue me a new check until 3 months later. Over the numerous amount of times I called nobody seem to know what was going on with the status of my account because there were no detailed notes taken or any communication between the employees. I’m glad I did not keep all my money in this bank because the practices were very unprofessional from most employees. The last person I spoke to was a man named Cheng and he was very helpful and communicative and keeping me in the loop about when my parcel was sent out. This is not an FDIC insured bank so think before you sign up.

So I called several times to replace my card and was told my new card was being mailed to me. Wasn't until the 3rd attempt that someone tells me that the account was closed not replaced. They refused to assist me to reinstate the card and after multiple calls asking for a supervisor I was denied escalation each time. Seriously this company sucks!

If there is a 0 star, I will give this Citi bank at 1000 Technology drive, O'Fallon. MO don't ever do any mortgage loan with this people, they will frustrate the hell out of you. they will not pick your calls, they will not respond to emails. their staff email is always on auto reply. they have 45 days to process my loan instead they wait for few days before looking into all they document that I have sent to them. then started to ask for unnecessary things just to buy time. because of this, I miss my closing day and the I miss the home. I regreated doing business with Citi bank. very bad organization. stay away.

Rob at Citibank in O'fallon is very unprofessional, unprepared, and does not know how to articulate a simple sentence. Also he smells.

Sent a pre-approved credit card to us and have sent multiple texts and emails to get us to activate the account.We never signed up for it. Very pushy, shady business practice.

I tried to verify a cashiers check from a Citibank I had my Chase bank call them and they verified it was good but when I asked if I could be 100% sure they referred to a phone number that was an automated message and hang up online, it says verification can only be done in person yet they have zero branches, only ATMs and a few corporate offices I went to the local corporate office. There were two shady people at the front desk, and appeared that the building was empty. It is not an FDIC federally insured bank. I believe it is some front a huge scam from some out of country organization, I can’t believe they get away with this.

It's nearly impossible to get help on phone. I been fighting useless phone menu for 10 min until I get hold of actual person. He told me that apparently there is trick to push ##### (five pounds) to get person right away, but I never been informed about it before. Sucks anyway.

Worst bank ever. Their customer support are oblivious and rude!They froze my account for no reason and is keeping the fund in it ($3000) for 60-90 days! Stay away from this bank!

One of your employees was late to work. He road my tail all the way to get onto the highway. Almost knocked me off the road. And wouldn’t allow me to exit whenever it was time for me to exit. He drives a white Toyota sudan that has license plate that says bouncback

Do NOT refinance your mortgage with Citibank!! I did a refinance through Citibank on Nov 2020. After closing I received a check from them, so I called my Mortgage Officer to find out what it was for because it came with no instructions or explanation. She went over the Title Co final closing document with me line by line to make sure that money was taken out for property taxes for 2020 and 5 mos escrow was taken out for 2021. She said the check I got was whatever was leftover in my escrow account after everything was paid. I didn't even know Cenlar was going to take over the mortgage until I got a notice about it a few months after closing. But the notice saying they took over my mortgage had no mention of an escrow shortage at the time. A year later in Nov 2021, I got a notice from Cenlar that said I had an escrow shortage of $4500. I was told that I had to pay it all within 30 days or they'd increase my monthly mortgage payment by $350. I called Citibank and they blamed the mistake on Cenlar sending me the final Title Co. document that I had gone over with the Mtg Officer a year prior. I sent it to Cenlar and they said I still owed $4500, that Citibank neglected to transfer the funds from my previous escrow account at closing. All I got from Citibank after 2 mos of asking questions was..."Oops we made a mistake and now you have to pay that escrow shortage that we forgot to send to Cenlar." No apology. No accepting any responsibility. And I have no recourse. STAY AWAY FROM CITIBANK!!

Stay away from Citi. Lots of fees to get your own money. They act like your account belongs to them.
