The salesman told me a price that I agreed to, then after waiting till a few days before the installation date, he tried to raise the price, saying extra material was needed( A HUGE LIE). No extra material was needed. Now, less than a year later, my door is popping and squeaking when moving up and down. I would not use or recommend this company to anyone.

Do NOT use this company. Technicians do NOT have any idea of pricing, and an approximate cost when they are on your property diagnosing a fix. If you ask, they play dumb, and will be very vague. However, you as the customer are required to provide credit card ahead of service call even being scheduled. Then you are required to sign for authorizing charge to go through on your card- again, not having a breakdown of services at all. I was only provided a full amount of service. I repeatedly ask for an invoice BEFORE I signed- a paper copy or even to look at their electronic copy. I was told they couldn't and wouldn't provide that to me prior to signing. So I was FORCED to sign even without the information I requested. I signed ONLY a total dollar amount. NO breakdown of cost of parts, labor, trip charge etc. I had to call the company 4 times, run around, place on hold, transferred etc. in order to get an invoice! Unacceptable! I finally received an invoice after a week and getting a "manager" on the phone. He was absolutely unprofessional and could care less about my concerns. When I finally received invoice I now am able to see there was an almost 6 times mark-up of retail cost for one part. This company thinks people have no other options in this industry in KC- not true- go elsewhere. They are not professional and once they run your credit card, which is before they even backed down the driveway to leave, they could care less about customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND OVERHEAD DOOR.

Nate was absolutely amazing! He came in and explained the entire process to me, and answered all of the questions that I had. He was quick, efficient, and professional. I would absolutely recommend this company specifically because of how amazing he was.The price to replace the spring on our double-door garage was a flat rate, no surprises. 10/10

My garage doors were installed a little over a year ago and I had an issue with a keypad. I reached out to my salesman, Erik, who hand delivered a replacement to my doorstep. Kudos for looking out for the customer and resolving my problem quickly, it is much appreciated.

Less than 5 years and we have 2 remotes that look brand new but don’t work. Had them come out - replaced 1 for almost $100. They other one is now in a junk drawer. (UPDATE) - Overhead door reached out to make things right for my remote situation which I appreciate. The other issue regarding the fraud/check cashing - I clarified it with my friend and it was with their competition which name is almost identical to Overhead Door.

I had a problem with my garage door that to me, seemed really bad. I've known for many months something was wrong, but was hesitant to call, because my door opener is at least 15+ years old and can't really afford to replace it. I called for repair finally and they could of come out as soon as that evening! I scheduled for a couple days later when it was convenient for me. Someone called me the day of my appointment to let me know the technician was running a little behind, but that was okay with me and I appreciated the call. My technicians name was Brad, and he got my opener fixed in 15 minutes! He did not try to sell me a new opener at all! So glad I called, and wish I'd called sooner! Very reasonable price and I couldn't be happier!

I had a garage door installed on Friday and since then the garage door opens on its own. I called overhead door and let them know about it but they want to charge me to come out to fix their mistake. They should fix this without charging me so don’t recommend this company and won’t use them again.

Put in banged up doors for my parents. The remotes worked wrong. They refuse to come fix the problem. I would recommend any other company. The headache of dealing with this company while they are ill has been a nightmare.

Customer service was great and quick when I called. Brandon W came out to fix our garage door even during a thunderstorm and was very quick with a positive attitude. Highly recommend!

6/17/23 SaturdayFirst Time CustomerPurchased a home it came with the company sticker logo. Called after hitting my garage. I knocked the frame out of place, garage wouldn't close and the sensor was off. I was able to get a quick time frame between 2:30pm-6pm. Dale called 1:49pm informing he's on the way, arrived within 20 minutes. Thankfully, Dale quickly fixed the problem within 30 minutes. I was lucky not needing new parts. My garage door opens and closes with no problems. Thank You Dale professional and efficient. Note the service fee is $125 not including the cost of he fix.

I got a door from them 3 years ago and now makes a lot of noice, I call them and they charge 50.00 just to look at it and then the technician put oil and tight few screws and charged me $219.00 for 30 min work, and sis not charge the initial 50 so I paid a total of 219.00 is that normal? Is that fair?

My garage door stuck in the open position. I called overhead door at about 2pm on a Friday and they had a tech there by 3:30 pm. Thomas, the Overhead Door Tech, had the issue diagnosed in about 60 seconds. It was the electric condenser inside the drive unit. He had it fixed in 10 minutes and gave me several pointers for maintaining my door.Thanks Thomas
