Tim made me an FTR rifle using a BAT 3Lug, Manners Fclass stock, Bartlien barrel in 223. I’ve always used it as practice rifle until recently my primary rifle 308 barrel group size opened up, just prior to a match in Port Malabar Florida called the Snowbird match. It was a 2 day match consisting of 6 targets total. Day one was at 300, 500 and 600 yards. Day two was at 600 yards for 3 targets. I acquired a Weatherby MKV in 300 wby mag. I had no desire to throw my shoulder out. I talked to Moon, he was little concerned about cutting too close to the crown, to install a break (rare in this day and age for someone to talk you out of business). I gave him the thumbs up. With extreme attention to detail he threaded the barrel, installed the break. Now my Howitzer, launching 200gr 30 cal bullets just shy of 3000fps, feels like a .308 with a heavy stock. The factory barrel (With Moon’s break) is holding .80 moa (about the best your going to get out of factory 300wby barrel).

Moon chambered and installed the barrel. Rock creek m24/40, 6.5 Creedmore, defiance deviant action, manners stock and timney trigger. Just awesome. Fist five shots through rifle at 100 with factory ammo.

One of the best gun smiths in the Kansas city area if not the country. Amazingly knowledgeable yet easy to talk to and down to earth. I would highly recommend Crescent Customs to any one looking for a quality smith.

2 rifle builds so far. Moon is the man! One being a 7-300wm and the other a .223 (my favorite) dead accurate out to 1,200 yards so far!

Moon does great work and is a great and knowledgeable guy to deal with. I would have no problem using him for anything and recommend him for all.
