I can't comment on the actual campground since I did not stay there. However, the coffeehouse is amazing! Such a cute place! Amazing coffee and wonderful service! We just happened to spot it while driving so we stopped in. I didn't want to leave! So wish this was closer to me so i could be a regular. And I loved that the sweet cats roam in and out. I will be back when i'm in the area again!

We spent 4 days at this wonderful little spot in their primitive tent sites right along salt river. Great atmosphere and staff. Small shower house but well kept with clean towels available. Although it is right off the interstate so prepare for some traffic noise but otherwise quiet and relaxing area. Great shade cover in the cabins and primitive sites. Delicious coffee and wish we lived closer just to stop by for that in the morning! It is pet friendly and our dog was comfortable quickly. They have a few very sweet and friendly cats along with some beautiful domestic bunnies that stay on the property as well. I wish there was more hiking nearby but that's not their fault and we will probably plan on kayaking or canoeing during our next visit. Only real critique would be that the outhouses need serviced a little more frequently but the shower house is never that far of a walk.

Great little treasure of a campground. Easy in and out, coffee house serves breakfast on site, clean bathrooms. Friendly folks staff and other campers. Bunnies and kitty cats are in the campground. Kitties are sweet and friendly. Love the details of the rocks with sandblasted drawings and sayings.Restrooms: Very clean with towels if you need onDog-friendliness: Allow dogs and some owners do allow their dogs to bark for no reason. Some owners are amazing. There are no bad dogs just bad owners.

Beautiful spot, clean, and a breath of fresh air.We arrived after hours and enjoyed the peace and quiet. This place was a 5/5 until all the cats came over to our site.I am allergic to cats and they kept trying to get onto the picnic table as we were eating dinner and tried to get into our camper. If it weren't for the cats, we would stay here again.Loved the area.Did NOT like cats climbing all over our things as I am allergic to them.

Rented cabins 1 and 6 for an extended family kayaking weekend. Unfortunately it poured on Friday night and continued rain on Saturday caused our float to be cancelled. We made the best of it and visited Mark Twain cave instead. Cabins were nice with water cooler (hot and cold), microwave and dorm fridge. Provided linens were clean, nice and very much appreciated. Even the shower house had towels provided. Wow! We really enjoyed hanging out on the rock patio. Mom's first time camping and she was wary of the outhouses but decided they weren't so bad after all. AC couldn't quite keep up with the 100 degree heat but did fine once temps dropped to 85. Kids absolutely loved the coffeehouse. Everyone agreed it was a great atmosphere and we want do it again next year.

We had a great time at this campground with family. It is a well maintained beautiful park right on the river. The staff is very friendly and helpful with a great coffee shop.

BEST campground in the area! We have stayed in campgrounds all over Missouri, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Kansas in our camper. The Meadow is by far our favorite! The coffee house has amazing coffee and specialty drinks. Always something to do here with their kayak trips and events. On a hot day we would love to cool off in the river, and so did our dogs. Highly recommend!

I would give this place 5/5 stars! When we first arrived lovely lady at the front checked us in quick & easy. (Unfortunately I got the wrong key but got the right one within 5 minutes) noticed the water container was low and another wonderful lady brought us a new one again within 5 minutes! Cabin was clean and beautiful! Facing the Salt River! RV/Campground was very nice! Grass kept short saw tons of bunnies! Had a few things to do around the camp grounds. (Volleyball, Tetherball, horseshoes, a couple swings) they have a couple cabins/tent set up areas and of course areas for RVs. The shower house was very clean! They had towels/wash clothes in there for you to use which was great! The shower house (upfront) did have normal toilets. But they did have a couple our houses. We preferred walking to the shower house everytime! Unfortunately when my husband tried shutting & locking our cabin door the handle fell off but again they were right there to fix it and good to do! Most definitely be going back there again in the near future! Friendly place! We did do the 5.5 mile kayak trip! Easy as could be. Checked in they took us in a bus dropped us off and ended back at the camp site. Most definitely recommend that as well! Took a good 5 hours with stopping a few times as we had (9,15,16 year old) kayaks were up to par cleaned and provided life jackets. The coffee house was amazing too! They did close around 7pm while we were there daughter wanted Ice-cream after dinner bur we ate too late! Very clean inside. I did manage to get a hot coco on the way out which was very delicious/delightful. Again the lady there this morning nice!Of course this isn't on the campgrounds but had some rude renters :P for example. *Dogs are allowed and first night there had a guy with two dogs come around our cabin & let one dog p*** about 5 feet from out picnic table "that we were sitting at eating dinner" and walked away without picking it up. Same person walked around the cabin to the other side and let the other dog pee right on the side of the cabin and then p*** in the horseshoe pit again without cleaning it up ( the camp ground does provide p*** bags!)* They have clearly marked Female/male shower houses. Saturday night husband went up to shower in the male shower house and walking up he saw a male/female walk into thr male shower house (so be it) walked in the shower house noticed both showers were used by the male & female. I walked into the female shower house and both showers were empty no one was in there. So the female popped her head out and then 45 minutes later he walked back after cooking dinner then the whole shower house door was locked! They locked the door! They were in there for about an hour and 20 minutes finally they came out husband went in there soap/mud/TP was everywhere they make a huge mess never cleaned up!* you may also come to the problem we had really only on the males side is people go in there to shower/use the bathroom and lock the whole shower room door where no one can go in and use the bathroom or shower until that person comes out. We had a 15 & 16 year told that used the shower house to use the bathroom and many times they went to pee and door was locked until another guy came out! The stalls did have doors that locked and the showers provided curtains that shut nit sure why they thought locking the whole door was acceptable! But of course the campground and cabins were amazing some of the people stayinf there were just rude :P which happens everywhere!Restrooms: They have a couple out houses fairly clean. Then they have male/female shower house with 2 bathrooms with working toilets in them.Dog-friendliness: They do allow dogs

We stayed two nights in a tent. The tent spots are fantastic … they’re in shaded areas right on the river. The campground is very clean and well kept up, if I had a complaint it would be the highway, you hear a lot of traffic on it. But I give this an easy 5 star rating!!!

Pretty good tent camping! There are designated tent camping spots with a picnic table and a fire ring. It’s not really a tent campground but they make you feel welcomed.

Google maps will likely not take you to the entrance, but we followed the sign. Decent place, lots of kitties hanging out by the coffee house. Not open Sundays & Mondays, but we just checked ourselves in and paid when we left. Looks like they have community events here sometimes.Restrooms: Nice, clean, shower area too.
