La Michoacana is a fresh meat market with an amazing authentic Mexican restaurant in the back. It is considered a greatest taco stop and a tucked away gem, offering some of the best authentic Mexican food in the area with actually authentic flavor. The menu is simplified and limited but all incredible, featuring items like the best menudo and Al Pastor, delicious tacos served with double corn tortillas, perfect sopes, quesadillas, and the Chiefs burrito packed full of yummy flavors. The food is always fresh, served piping hot, and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is a simple, clean room with plenty of room to sit and relax at a handful of tables. The service is excellent. It does not serve chips and salsa, but offers different flavorful salsas, including a mild one with a slight zing and a hot one with more zap. Beverages include drinks imported from Mexico, available from coolers. The prices are good for the portions. The store has authentic ingredients and bilingual, English-speaking staff.
