THE WORST.I've been traveling for business 22 years now and this is one of the worst stays I've ever had. There were large crumbs and some sort of nut shells on the floor, so the room had clearly not been vacuumed. The night stands had weeks of dust all over them. I also noticed more crumbs and a few dead bugs on the office chair.I had to quickly leave to get to my event, but stopped at the front desk to notify them of the issue. Remember, Holiday Inn posts signs everywhere that if the room doesn't meet your expectations, let them know and they'll make it right.Employee at the front desk was fairly new and clearly had not been trained properly. They did offer a new room, but I had to leave right away, and would get back late. I declined that offer, saying as long as the sheets were clean, I'd be ok. I asked if housekeeping was to vacuum daily, they didn't know. I asked what they do to prevent bugs, they didn't know. It's not this person's fault that they haven't been informed appropriately. When I got back to the hotel, it was late, and I finally got to bed. There was some sort of cereal flakes or cardboard flakes in the sheets. The next morning on checkout, I asked the next person at the front desk if there were notes that I was concerned about the room cleanliness. There were not. He directed me to speak with the manager.I told the manager about the floor not being clean. Manager responded that housekeeping vacuums every day. I told her that the room was bad, really bad. Did she ask me to elaborate? Apologize? Offer a room discount? No. Just said she would notify housekeeping. Either the manager didn't care (felt that way) or she was untrained also.My recommendation is to avoid this place and stay down the road.

Pool had peeled paint in the bottom. Rooms were recently renovated. Front desk service was very good! Not much choice in Maryville, but I’ve tried them all and this the best option.Walkability: Restaurants within walking distance.

If I could put 0 stars I would. After paying $260 for a room and getting there with no HVAC. Then after moving rooms at 9pm we noticed mold in the ventilation system? Unacceptable. I reported to manager and they said “oh that’s just surface mold”. NOT OKAY. Manager took $50 off our bill AFTER taxes…

Placed an order through the phone. Daly (daily) helped us with booking and gave us a better price than the website. Refer to my dad, “jim lawson” review for how the actual hotel stay was!

Do not make reservations online. The location does not honor them and will double book their rooms. So disappointing. The front desk could have helped with finding another room in the city. However, they were occupied discussing issues with the website with the maintenance man. They did offer to cancel the reservation...

This hotel is only a 2-star? It’s a premium 3 star experience if you ask me.There is a heated pool and low cost laundry service available. Seating near the pool is great for those not looking to swim. There is even an small outdoor area. The complimentary breakfast offered by this hotel is great. I could tell it was very well managed and staff enjoyed talking to guests. Honestly, it’s so good that it makes the breakfast options at even more expensive Kansas City hotels look very poor. The rooms were clean and while not needed, it was great to see the accessibility options the hotel has in tub shower (even non-handicap rooms). The complimentary fridge, safe, and closet were nice amenities. My wife booked this stay and I’ll admit, at first I thought I had some better options in town — but this stay was a very pleasant surprise. I plan to stay here from now on when I visit. It was a great stay with kids.Nearby activities: Applebee’s (Walking distance)

Friendly staff. Bathroom wasn't clean when we got there, but they were happy to move us to a clean room. Nice enough pool. It was warm at least! Great place to stay.

The general manager Kristin Bunholt and her staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We have been there 3 times in the past 7 months. We had 2 family funerals and if we had any issues they took care of it immediately. They offered to help us with our luggage. Very friendly staff and helpful. We will only stay at this hotel every time we have to return to Maryville. To the whole staff thank you for your kindness and professional care.

THE BEST HOTEL I have ever stayed at. MASSIVE breakfast options I have ever seen! Pancakes, bacon, sausage, omelettes, biscuits and gravy, muffins, chocolate milk, yogurt, 4 different juices and SO MUCH MORE! You just can NOT go wrong staying at a Holiday Inn Express. Thank you so much for your cleanliness- smells great here.

I'm not sure of the age of the hotel but it is designed like the newer ones I've been to this year. Excellent accommodations, clean, friendly staff, coffee available at 4:30am, great work station for my laptop; I checked out at 5am so I can't comment on their breakfasts. One suggestion is to have a pole lamp in the corner of the room... the room is a little too dark, and the desk lighting is below average (the LED lighting at the top are dim... maybe needs to replace the lighting strip); I use my laptop for work a lot. Another suggestion is to have exterior lighting on at both side exits. Neither one was lit when leaving this morning while it was still dark outside. Other than that, it is still an excellent hotel. I had a great night's sleep!!!

Internet connection is weak, had to keep connecting to the IHG site, or maybe it's my laptop, since it happens often at IHG hotels. Another suggestion is to have exterior lighting on at both side exits. Neither one was lit when leaving this morning while it was still dark outside.
