DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!
I lived in this apartment for about two years and recently moved out, but unfortunately, it ended up being the worst experience.
Initially, I really enjoyed the views, gym, pool, and other amenities, so much so that I recommended it to some friends, who later moved in as well. However, things took a turn when we moved out. Despite thoroughly cleaning the apartment, they still charged us around $900.
We had done some patchwork on the wall, which we repaired before moving out, but they claimed it wasn’t up to their standards. The carpet was clean, but they pointed out minor issues and charged us extra for those as well.
The apartment itself wasn’t in great condition either. The wall plaster would peel off even with small stickers. Maintenance was terrible—our AC filters made a loud noise, and despite requesting a fix twice, it was never properly addressed. The filter board would come loose just from someone walking on the floor above. Now, they’re trying to charge us for that as well.
It feels like they’re renovating the apartment at our expense and handing it over to the next tenants.
What responsibility do they have in maintaining the place if they’re charging us for everything?

I normally don't leave reviews, but I think it's important for people to know what they're getting into when finding a place to live!
Positives: Monthly rent for the 1st year was reasonable. Pool was nice and kept up. They're on top of inclement weather in the winter and salt sidewalks/lots frequently. They're responsive on email. They have recycle bins, which is nice since a lot of properties don't have them.
Not-so positive: My unit smelled bad when I moved in. I asked for a carpet cleaning, but they said they changed the carpet prior to my move-in. The smell never went away. Felt uncomfortable after someone put a sticker on my door when I was away for the weekend (felt safer after getting a doorbell camera). Upon renewing, my rent went up almost $200; even though I never paid late. They wouldn't negotiate. Everyone's required to fill out a separate pet-profile. It expires after a year, but they aren't up front about it. If you don't renew, you get tagged with $200 fee. This profile seems redundant because there's a section in the lease stating that you do/don't have a pet.

Excellent all-around. Maintenance is fast. Rent is fair. Amenities are great. Close to stores and highways. Walk to Westport or the Y. Clean. Management has smart rules that encourage good behavior and are enforced.

I have rented on this property for the last 6 years and it used to be one of the best in the area but unfortunately I cannot say the same at this point in time.
I recently encountered a situation where police were directed to my door at 5pm in the evening because my TV was loud. It was an isolated incident to which I agreed that my TV was loud at the moment and the officer was gracious enough to dismiss the complaint but there is no way that this couldn’t be resolved without involving the police. I have never had a complaint addressed about me being loud EVER. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 9am. Apartment living does not guarantee sound proof and so this situation upset me alot. After inquiring from my neighbors it was revealed that the leasing office had advised the new tenant above me to call the police department if at any point there was disturbance and the tenant further lied that the police were called at 12 am midnight when infact it was 5pm.
My unit has had issues with molding in the bathroom and the same management team refuses to admit it is mold and continues to paint over the walls.
I have had instances where my door was left open after inspection was done and I was not home coming back to find my front door open for almost the entire day and the leasing office dismissing my complaint.
Our building had issues with the community washer where water was not draining and therefore was not working, the office claimed that tenants should be the ones calling the service company for repairs which to me was absurd because we clearly do not own any of the equipment. The laundry rooms are always filthy, the trash is kept for months in time and no cleaning is done whatsoever to make it look descent.
Rent goes up every year by almost $100 without any substantial upgrades to the property or units. This year they sneaked in $9 per month for a credit buildup offer that was clearly not needed but included on the renewal letter and if you are like me who doesn’t read through the entire document it gets added to your bill unknown.
Overall would not recommend, the area is convenient and safe but currently not managed as sold on paper.

I’m dealing with various health issues. The neighbors are incredibly rude, cook a lot of pungent food, mostly after 10pm, you can’t even sleep sometimes. Haven’t had a working AC in going on 5 months. They did bring me a portable unit that cools one room. The neighbors consistently leave clothing in the only 2 laundry machines until they mildew. Everything smells bad. Had 2 flats in the parking lot after their contractors did shoddy work. They also broke my tv and there was no compensation or apology. Recently, the electrical outlets, all of them loose, began burning. They only agreed to fix one of them. Rent has increased every new lease signing, substantially. $200+ in 3 years. And your opinions and concerns do not matter at all. Do you like pickleball? They have a court, like anyone asked for that. The only good thing about this place is Brett.

There is a disconnect between management and maintenance person. But overall apartments are decent.

As a new resident at Whisper Hollow, I could not be happier with my experience thus far! First, the office team has been super nice and incredibly supportive throughout my move-in. Kennedy in particular is amazing! She has made my move-in such a smooth process despite a few speedbumps by offering assistance and being very communicative with me - she definitely goes above and beyond for you! Second, maintenance is extremely responsive - they fixed issues the same day of submitting a request! And, lastly, the actual apartment has exceeded expectations. It is updated with modern touches in both the kitchen and the bathroom, so you get all of the features of a "new" apartment with the charm of an older complex. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Resident since 2020. It’s a good price for the area, and the staff do a phenomenal job.Maintenance responds in a timely fashion, are very effective, and are very transparent. The staff communicate issues, inspections, and events well. The price for rent for STL is below the average. To add, the apartments are just nice to live in and very well cared for.Would definitely recommend for those in STL.

I would like to add 2 drawbacks1. No playground for kids2. Maintenance guy don’t like to go with a minimum effort to resolve any issues. Additionally, he’s behaved like almost in rude level. (From our experience)Other than above downsides, I would say it’s a great place to live according to your budget.
