“The folks here are SO SWEET! There were some issues getting me my package (I live a few hours away and ordered a special edition a few months in advance, PLUS i moved during the time between placing my order and it arriving) and they were incredibly patient and kind and proactive in getting me my book. Thank you to every one of y’all who called me to verify my address or to check with me about details. I really appreciate how helpful everyone was and how they were determined to get me my book! It arrived in perfect condition with a cute bookmark too! Thank you to The Novel Neighbor—I will definitely be checking out the store when I am next in the area :)”
“While we didn't get to spend much time there, I really enjoyed the vibe of this store. The staff was super-friendly. Hopefully we get to stay longer on our next visit to St. Charles.”
“Seemed to overemphasize amount of queer stuff, really wanted a more traditional book store. Actually tired of all the political slant at bookstores. Do they really need pride flags and blm.....lets just focus on books and things that unite us please”
“Dreams of erudition come to fruition with books, or so I am told. However, I read slowly and cannot seem to get away from anything for long enough to read and cannot seem to get myself into anything that I read. For all indecisives and those plagued by terrors of the utterly ambiguous focus, faith, interest, and self-imposed anxious learning torture based sort, this is the perfect place to get your literature, AP or non, that you can learn something from or throw to the side. Both of the books I have searched for here I have found, for under $10. I have also picked up a Gordon Lightfoot album from here because they have albums for reasonable prices and because I like Gordon Lightfoot. Perhaps if I keep buying from here, I will be able to read more quickly. Unlikely, however this place is still fun to browse.”
“A smallish, carefully curated bookstore! A place to browse and discovery wonderful books. A perfect selection of children's books, local interest and nature-lover's titles. I found two books I'd never heard of, and could scarcely walk across the street to me car without starting to read! (There's a large, free, public parking lot in back, btw). What a great find in (downtown?) Webster Groves!!”
“I ordered a book on the HPB website. The order wouldn't process, so I called the store and worked directly with Mike, who was phenomenal. He described the shape the book was in down to a small stain. I purchased it through the phone with the help of Anneesah, the assistant manager, who was also polite and professional.
The book was priced reasonably, but more than I usually pay for books, so I called back to find out if I could get insurance on the shipping. I had a frustrating conversation with Christine, who is the evening manager. She eventually passed the buck to the daytime manager, who I didn't talk with. Rather, I called the main 800 number and found out that if a book isn't delivered, HPB would give a refund. Though there is no insurance on the shipping they use, there is a tracking number.
All Christine had to know and say to me is THAT policy. But she left me hanging overnight until I could contact the main number. Luna from the 800 number helped me and put my mind at ease. Though I never visited this store in person, the majority of the employees are well informed, polite, and professional and helped me purchase a book I've been looking for over the phone.”
“I love going to this place since I’m a book lover. Great selection of books, board games, video games & magazines. One thing I will not do anymore though is sell them books because they literally give you pennies on the dollar. I’ll just donate books to charity.”
“Friendly staff and excellent selection of games and puzzles. Staff arranges tables of like-minded books so that you can always find something similar to a book you already liked. Very clean and organized.”
“Always have the book you are looking for. It is a bit pricey, but these are quality editions of your favorite stories, others will sell at lower prices to get your business overall. Can always expect quality out of Barnes.”
“Renewed my faith in a well stocked, clean book store. I haven't been to one in awhile, went in just looking for anything discounted, and ended up finding a packed store. Enjoyed a good conversation about a genre and bought a book!! Check out was easy. Thanks for a great experience.”
“It's just something about the smell and feel of books. They have a great book selection, and if they don't have a book you're looking for, they will order it for you!”
“I loved this bookstore! It has an amazing collection of anything and everything you need, very well organized. It's a really cool place where you can easily spend hours browsing. I also appreciated that there is parking across the road, making it very convenient to find and access. I definitely recommend a visit!”
“This is my go to book store for all the children in my life. I love that the bookstore is black owned and most of their books are by black authors. Their shipping is wicked fast. Their prices are extremely resonante. They have a loyal customer!”
“I have stopped in to this particular Reading Room several times over the course of 25 years - and several times in just the past few months. Each attendant has been warm and welcoming - delighted to share information in an easy, non-proselytizing way and equally as delighted to learn about you.”

“Going out of business in July 2024.A very large used media store with sections for video games, movies, TV shows, books, and manga along with many other interesting oddities, collectibles and toys.Generally pricing for most media is at market pricing, but has sales (buy two, get one free) that usually makes them a great value. However, the store was always a little bit cluttered, a little bit ramshackle, and rarely got enough new inventory of used items to make repeat visits worthwhile.Whether or not business was booming, they will close down in July 2024 due to the mall they're in being torn down.”

304 S Main St, St Charles“Google Maps should really consider a different business label than a “metaphysical store”. To some of us, the enchanted aspects of life are so real! My favorite things to buy from this store are the sun catchers! Some of the ones I’ve bought are shown, but the Enchanted Attic feels so peacefully whimsical! I lost my step father and grandma within two months of each other, but I feel their fairy spirits with me frequently. That feeling is only amplified in this store with the gemstones, incenses, dream catches, candles, and everything wonderful within! The free gifts though-always an incense-are nice to get, although it is personal preferences. I don’t personally burn incenses due to my asthma and smoke, but they still smell divine sitting unburned! If you’re not into the fairy-magic end of things, they also sell canvas bags. So they truly have something for everyone!”
“I have to give kudos to the staff at the Webster campus store. I had an issue with my online order, and I called the actual store to resolve the matter. The staff member was amiable and pleasant to speak to and solved the matter over the phone with no problem. Once again, thank you so much. Also, it was effortless to place an order on the internet. Great shopping experience!”
“Such a beautiful campus. My son is attending college prep classes here and their staff are just incredible. I hope he decides to study here after college. The university campus book shop is filled with every essential thing they could need being away from home and then some! The track and field are just gorgeous. The cafeteria is just beyond amazing!”

9261 Dielman Industrial Dr, St. Louis“I ordered through Walmart, but received an email from the companies customer service immediately. I worked with Gage to customize the front cover and back cover. He sent over a proof for me to approve prior to printing the product. I'm across the country in California and the shipping was incredibly fast. The product looks great!! Good quality for the price, very happy with my purchase. I will order directly through them next time I have a need for personalized/custom coloring books.”

80 W County Center, St. Louis“Our niece wanted a specific game and Go! was the ONLY place in St. Louis. The team there was helpful, holding one for us until I visited two days later. The store has a fantastic variety of games for the entire family, and many other calendars and toys, too. On a Christmas shopping visit, it was almost too much to take in at once... but that's a great variety to pick from. The staff was friendly and helpful. We'll visit again!”

209 S Kingshighway St, St Charles“Staff was kind, prices are high, inventory levels were good. Shopped for spirit wear, not books, so can't speak to the bookstore portion of it. Found something for everyone in our family and they even had decent inventory on mark downs.”
“The MBU bookstore has everything you need for class. Stop by and take a look at the great selection of merchandise and get the required essentials for class and studying.”
11AM - 7PM
139 W County Center Space 1065, Des Peres“Wonderfully helpful. I’m a collector of interesting and imaginative toys that I can gift to my grandchildren. Amanda was particularly helpful and came up with lots of information I didn’t know. Staff is very entrepreneurial.”
“If you are looking for popular Christian books, you should be able to find some here. It is a church bookstore, not a full-fledged bookstore, so you won't find thousands of titles. Prices are decent and there are always reduced priced books available.”
