A legendary institution in the local bicycle industry Maplewood Bicycles does not keep this distinction for no good reason.
I don't visit bike shops often but a recent service due to a failed DIY fix reminded me how important it is for any retail business is to have competent and professional sales and service associates.
Maplewood Bikes is one of those shops where the minute you walk in the door you know you're in the right place. A shout out to Mason for his patience and understanding my particular needs. The cost for the service was appropriate and most importantly the work was done correctly the first time.

I never do reviews but have to do this one. My old bike shop closed. Just took my bike to Maplewood for tune up and Chris was amazing! Took time to explain everything, gave me alternatives, make suggestions for future planning and during a very busy time for STL bike repairs, will have my bike ready for Pedal the Cause.His co- workers were equally helpful and fun to talk to in regard to educating me on questions about bike gloves etc.Truly couldn't be happier, will be taking my bike here from now on.

Tuned up my bike quickly, and I got a concise, easy-to-understand explanation of what it needed. I got an e-mail when it was ready. Also good selection of bike clothing.

Great shop, knowledgeable staff and great service. In town for the Gateway Cup races and popped a couple spokes on day 1. These guys helped get me rolling asap and clearly knew their stuff, love to see local shops doing it right! Thanks guys.
