Market itself may be excellent but the burger I had was sub-par and certainly not a great value. Disappointed they don’t have the Oklahoma onion burger. Guess it didn’t last long. Had the Smashburger. The patties had been so crisped that there wasn't any moisture or identifiable beef left. Very disappointing.

I just discovered this place last week and have made my husband pick up almost daily since then! Amazing selection of meats and their sandwiches are 10/10. Take all my money!

This is the best butcher in the midwestern part of the US! Not only is it an amazing butcher, it has incredible lunch and dinner options. Also, the breakfast is incredible and my personal favorite in all of St. Louis. The Lard Biscuit is the best biscuit I have ever had!
Please try this hidden gem!!!

You get what you pay for here. If your looking for a cool foodie experience, this is it. Eat a crafted sandwich while watching your dinner steak cut through the viewing window. Cuts you do not see in most butcher shops. Tallow Fries.......nothing else to be said about those!!!! Order them.

I love this place. Their meat selection / quality is good enough for me to make the 30 mile drive regularly. On top of that their pre-made sides and food menu are amazing as well. Service has always been great too. Highly recommended all around.

The food here was unbelievably delicious and fresh. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and I was blown away by the flavor! My partner got the steak sandwich and that was really good too. We split some tallow fries with housemade ketchup and this is my new favorite place to eat! They also have fresh meats cut in restauraunt, and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Highly highly recommend.

I just went in here with 1 million questions and the girl (Liz) was so patient and kind to me behind the counter. I got my pooch some marrow bones cut by kind Noah, beef and chicken broth, a couple of burger patties, fermented veggies and such. I am very happy with my purchases and I definitely look forward to returning. Thank you for being so helpful and doing all of what you guys do. Thank you for reading.

Always the highest quality meat available in the area. Only butcher to my knowledge that is locally sourced. Whole team knows their business and is great at answering any questions you might have.

Overall, a place with very tasty local meat plates and decently priced for what you get. Will definitely be back!
WAIT TIME: We came in for brunch on a Saturday at 11:30am. Place is counter order and then you find seats. Whole process is quite speedy. They took around 20 mins to get our food out, which was a little longer than expected since there was only one order in front of us, but they were also dealing with butcher orders at the counter, so it’s understandable.
FOOD: I ordered the Feisty Bull sandwich which came with a pork rind. The sandwich was SO TASTY! The pulled beef and aioli in the companion bread was such a perfect combination. And the pork rind is locally made; it was one large piece which made me laugh. Very delicious as well. My partner got the burnt ends breakfast, which was a large portion of potatoes and burnt ends, also an excellent dish.
SERVICE: Counter ordering, super simple and the people were smiley and helpful.
AMBIANCE: It’s a beautiful space, very well lit with natural lighting, and lots of stool seatings near the windows as well as some tables.
PRICE: The sandwich was $14 and the burnt ends was $15. Both very well priced for the portions you get, and the quality of all the food!

Best butcher shop in town, nothing else even comes close!
A steak or pork chop from here will change your life! Chicken that actually tastes like chicken! High quality local meat, sausage and charcuterie that is worth every penny! Everything is made in house from whole animals butchered weekly. Seriously underrated part of the STL food scene!
