these people are parts replacer. they try one thing and charge you. if that doesnt work, they try something else,and charge you. if that doesnt work, they . . . you get the picture. if you want your car fixed right the first time, take it someplace else.

I highly recommend Clete’s Auto Service!! Matt saved the day! My wife and I drove up from Texas for a weekend and our vehicles AC decided to stop working entirely. Matt was the only mechanic that would look at it and had the compressor replaced under warranty within the day so we didn’t have to drive back with no AC!

I had a major coolant leak and could not find where it was coming from. Matt had it diagnosed and fixed fast. And it was a pretty big job. I will definitely be going to him in the future. And referring people to him. Thank you Matt for helping me and keeping me informed the entire time.

Had a bunch of stuff done on my car and the repairs didn't even last 2500 miles, brought it in for warranty. Got a call saying it was done after 2 days, I went and got my car then drove for 2 days and I'm still having the same issues...(Picture is what I get after it being "fixed" the second time)

I had no problem with service before but now I took my mini van in that I just bought because there was something going on with the engine when I was driving back from st louis. $500 later the problem was fixed. Then about 2 weeks after that, I was driving home from a job in Raytown when it did the same thing. Now mind you, I work from home but every once in a blue moon I go out to do a job so we never really use the van.Took it back to get it fixed again but was told it could be something else than what it was before so it will now cost 200 more bucks to potentially fix the problem. I declined service as we have already spent that money the first go around to fix the problem but now it's back within a short time of having it serviced. I understand that it's a small shop and they need to make money but I also have a family to think about and already spent too much in the first place to still not have a vehicle.

This guy quoted me double what every other mech quoted me. He then claimed it was a 2 hour job when every other mech said 45 mins max. I can't stand bad mechs who make their customers pay for their garbage work ethic. Good luck to this guy but red flags galore go get a second quote I guarantee it will be less.

I blew a tire near his shop and it was long after closing time. He could have just gone home but he stayed and helped me out! Anybody can turn wrenches but it takes integrity to help someone out when it’s inconvenient.Service: Tires

Customer service is beyond excellent. My truck wouldn't start, it wasn't the starter or the battery, just couldn't figure out what it was. Matt took a look at it and had it running within half an hour. Low and behold it was the fuel pump. Again excellent service and very reasonable pricing.

Second time Matt came out to work on my Pontiac he did not do good work at all, I ended up taking off the belt tensioner he replaced, returning it for a new one as the belt kept dancing off after less than 5 minutes. When I reached out to Clete's , Matt could make some time maybe 3 days later. No guarantee for his work and did not seem the slightest bit interested in ensuring his work was 100%. I tipped him very well like 37% above what he charged and in the end had to do it myself anyway. Not the same service I received the first time for sure, never called again.
